Balansat Resort

We have just came back from a big family holiday (11 of us 3 kids 6, 8 & 15) The hotel was lovely and clean but we did find ants on the first day but they came and sorted it quickly, the hotel is absolutely brilliant for kids but they do need swim shoes! The gym is brilliant but it’s like a glass box and faces the pool very good air con in there though. The Wi-Fi is terrible The food is fine lots of choices but very cold the snack bar is good but the chef is very slow! There is nothing much around 2/3 restaurants a few little shops but that’s it, there is a good bus service and very cheap, me & my husband walked to the caves it was €14 each they was good a little bit claustrophobic but worth doing. The beach is amazing 2 minute walk away lots of fish so bring your snorkel.

Family of 12, 1 week stay with 5 children. Food - personally, I thought the food was lovely. Fresh every single meal time. Wide selection which changed slightly every night but the minority was the same. But always something there you will like. The breakfast pancakes and hot Nutella sauce were amazing! The snack bar was lovely, always fresh hot food available on request. The pool bar was also great. Staff were pleasant. Location - This is the only downfall in my eyes. Although we loved the quiet area, it was a little difficult with young children with so little to do. Only 2-3 shops, which are practically the same and 1-2 restaurants. Extremely quiet area. We did get a taxi to San Antonio Bay one day, which was 55 euro each way. Rooms - again, room were good. Few minor issues like corking coming away in shower so leaked into bathroom every time we showered. Cleaners did come everyday but found the floors were not swept well so had ants quite often on the 3rd floor! But overall, it was standard and nice. Air con could have been a little better and WiFi isn't the best. Alex at the reception was amazing, so helpful and lovely. All reception staff were actually. Main owner/manager was also lovely, made an effort to talk to guests and was constantly onto staff to ensure hotel was clean and in good working order. Entertainment was brilliant. The kids were in their element every night with the mini disco and games. They adored both Jay and Evelyn! The staff at the shop directly outside the hotel were somewhat rude. Followed your every move in the shop and made you feel like a thief even though we had spent hundreds in there! I'd say it's perfect for a family or couple that are content with an extremely relaxed/quiet holiday where you can sit poolside all day. Beach is on your doorstep. Overall, we were really happy with our stay. There were a few minor things which some cannot be helped by the hotel itself so can't bash them for it. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Second time visiting this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Fabulous location situated right on the beach. Lovely food and well kept clean hotel. Friendly, efficient staff too. We will definitely be visiting for a third time.

Very good family hotel in the port of San Miguel. Very clean, right by the beach.

Au calme et près de la plage, jolie decoration, bon petit-déjeuner, animation et grandes piscines. Literie un peu dure, pas de chaîne satellite
