Hotel Terbaik dengan Gimnasium di Santiago

Me gustó mucho los especios son muy amplios y admiten mascotas aunque yo no viajaba con ella si me pareció muy agradable y un motivo para volver

Hotel is in a great location and near all the main tourist areas, and also shops, bars and restaurants. I was very disappointed about the staff at the hotel. On check-in, after waiting about 10 minutes as the receptionist typed on her computer, we eventually got our room keys. Staff were not very welcoming and did not tell us anything about the hotel, facilities, breakfast room or the Pool. When we got to the room, we found that we didnt have a bath-tub (which was why I booked that room), no robe and no slippers. Mini-bar was empty with a sign saying it was closed due to Covid safety. I have no idea what Covid safety has to do with it. No other hotel I was in in Spain has had excuse. Also, no water in the room. No sanitisers in the room either. When I called reception to enquire, she said she would send water up, and then we had to sign to pay 4 Euro for the bottle. Terrible service, how can a hotel not provide water to their guest. This is coming from an expensive 5 star hotel. On checkout it was as bad, but I couldnt wait to leave then. Checkout person had a phone to his ear the whole time, took our key cards, and the continued his call. No receipt, no 'goodbye', nothing. The room itself was very nice, but the sound proofing is absolutely awful. All we could hear each morning was the noise of doors banging, hoovers and we could even hear snoring from the room beside us. So you had no choice but to wake up early with all the noise. Also the air-con is terrible, we left it on the whole time, and the room was still very warm. It was only about 20 degrees outside, so I would hate to stay here in the miiddle of Summer. Total let down of a hotel, I would avoid it. I think alot of 5 star hotels have gotten lazy during Covid, but have no problem charging top prices.

A primera vista. Despues de cinco dias de estar en el hotel ”Puerta del Camino”, os contaré algo, la llegada a primera vista es espectacular, lleno de luz, grande, buenas ”tertulias” muy bien situadas de forma que no interrumpe la entrada ni salida de clientes con equipajes, una gran recepción,y no sé exactamente, pero a ojo unas 140 habitaciones. Todo ésto generó en mi una suspicacia: ¡no vamos a descansar con tanto ruido, a tope de gente, y en fiestas de Navidad! Nos encontramos con un hotel de lo más cálido, discreto, con un personal perfecto, unos cuartos acogedores, impecable y silencioso, nos hizo sentir como si fuesemos los únicos clientes, el último dia era año viejo... había festejo... era normal... Ilegamos a nuestro cuarto...y silencio absoluto. Se preguntarán el porque de todo esto, y es que cuando algo nos molesta, enseguida protestamos y las quejas suelen ser habituales, de ahi que considere justo, contar una experiencia positiva y amable, para todo aquel que vaya a Santiago de Compostela y tanto si busca tranquilidad, o festejo, este es su Hotel. ¡Gracias a todo el personal!.

Chose this hotel as its away from the centre and the noise. The hotel is a 4 star, and an international feel to it. There is a parking just outside. A nice swimming pool in the sun and a good spa. The room is very big and the beds humongous. Good size wardrobes, mini fridge, big bathroom with no amenities. It needs a refurbishment but we found it good value for money. Good breakfast buffet

This is a hotel for the masses. Modern, but nothing fancy and no great attempt at design. Utilitarian. And that's ok. It works and worked well for us at an extremely reasonable price for what we got - a fairly big room that was comfortable and everything worked well. The staff was helpful and responded with dispatch with our requests. Breakfast, which was included in the basic rate, was actually good and had a reasonable variety of foods of decent quality. Was it gourmet? No, few hotels are. But it was better than some we had to pay for on top of the room rate. The location was away from the main area. We decided to get a taxi, instead of driving to the historic area, as we were afraid we would cross into a restricted area and have to pay a fine. Besides, parking and gas at $6-$7 per gallon would have cost us more than taking the taxi. So why bother? The somewhat isolated location was also good as there was very little external noise to contend with. In short, we got a hotel experience with no problems and decent comfort and included breakfast for a modest price. What's not to like? I'd go back. In a minute.

This is one difficult review to write as I always like to say as many positive things in my reviews. However, this has to be said if only for the hotel to improve their service and/or re-evaluate their culture. I was excited that this hotel was a Melia hotel because we've stayed in Melia hotels in Spain before and were very happy with our experience. Here is one beautiful, modern hotel that we looked forward to staying in especially after our Camino Walk. I checked in our group of 9 ahead of the others and was efficiently attended to by Pilar and Lourdes at the Front Desk. The hotel offered a lovely breakfast spread. That's where all the positives stop, I'm afraid. That night, we booked for a late dinner to celebrate my son's birthday and the end of a tiring Camino Walk. While seated at the long table in front of the bar, we were subjected to very rude treatment by the waitress named Marta. When one of our companions asked for an extra soup bowl, she said it was impossible. To give her the benefit of the doubt in case there was a misunderstanding in language differences, my friend asked our Spanish tour escort to ask the waitress for our bowl. The next thing we saw was our tour escort being rudely treated by the waitress speaking to our tour escort at the bar, telling him off. We understand some Spanish but what we saw from the body language and our tour escort backing away from the wait staff spoke volumes. He was being harassed by the wait staff. All we asked was for our tour escort to ask our waitress, Marta, in Spanish for an extra soup bowl. And we saw very aggressive behavior directed at our tour escort. She handed our tour escort a sauce dish, not a soup bowl, that's how offensive she was. When he told Marta that he wanted to deal with another waiter Christian (the other wait staff who was also there with Marta) told him, pointing at Marta, ”she's the boss”. Where was customer care in this scenario? If Marta refused to attend to our needs, why couldn't Christian attend to us? Two of us went up to the bar to talk to Marta and Christian when we saw what was going on. When I asked her what her problem was, Marta glared at me and said she didn't speak Spanish and went away. I took out my phone and typed on Google Translate: ”Be kind. You are in Customer Service. Where is your manager?” I showed it to Christian since Marta refused to deal with us. A bit later, Pilar from Front Desk came and talked to my friend and me. We told her that we didn't want trouble but that this massive, massive failure in customer service must be addressed. Pilar was very defensive of the wait staff but she did listen when we insisted. When we asked for a manager, or the Officer-In-Charge, we were told that there was no manager on hand. All the staff, all, covered for one another. It made us wonder about the culture of the company. To make things worst, 2 of our orders were not served and we were charged for the orders. Nos ha ido genial, la relación de precio con el hotel está súper bien, el desayuno bien, la ubicación buenísima. Las habitaciones muy buenas. Lo único q fallo era el wifi q a mi habitación no llegaba bien. En cuanto a limpieza e instalaciones súper bueno. En la habitación había nevera .

Chose this hotel for overnight as on outskirts of SDC for easy get away next morning. Situated high on a hill the rooms face the courtyard or the pool/ tennis court, town and busy road. Super easy parking. Decor is a bit 80s time warp, but the hotel has a slightly faded grand hotel layout with sitting areas about, wide corridors and spacious rooms. we took a family room so we had 2 double beds for a bit more space rather than 2 small singles. Due to Covid the room was a bit *****ped down...no kettle, minibar, robes, slippers, notepad etc. Very clean. Got a complimentary bottle wine but no corkscrew to open it. Good basic buffet breakfast with plastic gloves to wear to use buffet. Simón, who checked us in was charming and very helpful giving us all the useful info. Good wifi. Did hear some noise from nearby room with kids going crazy but just a few hours in the evening. Wonderful huge size bath. Great linen and pillows and very comfy bed made for good nights sleep. Would use again. If you want to open windows ask for a room facing the courtyard so there is no road noise. Room service limited hours but came fast and was delicious. Very good value for what we paid and a great night's sleep.
