We booked this hotel via ********** for a week in July earlier this week but have subsequently been bullied into cancelling our booking by the hotel. After booking and paying in full for our room, we received our booking confirmation and proceeded to book our flights which are non refundable. Then the hotel messaged via ********** to say could I cancel my booking as ‘no rooms are available’. I responded to say I had already booked my flights, why wasn’t the room I had confirmation for available. The hotel responded to say ********** had sold the room too cheaply and that I would need to cancel. ********** said the hotel determine their own prices, so the hotel literally decided they wanted to charge more. After 48 hours of trying to speak to ********** to ask why the hotel we’re asking me to cancel, ********** informed me that the hotel had said they would allow us to arrive, but we would not be given the room we had booked and we would ‘have no services’ such as towels, bedding, wifi etc whilst we were there. We felt we had no option but to cancel, as we did not want to travel for a special holiday to be met with threats of an awful holiday. I would avoid this place at all costs, if you book they will decide you need to pay more and try to bully you into paying it or cancelling your booking when you have paid for other parts of your trip. We have now booked a much nicer hotel for our trip and we’re pleased we aren’t staying here.
