The pictures of this hotel were accurate like 50 years ago, the facilities are not properly maintained, 2/3 pools were closed, the breakfast is really poor in quality. This hotel is 4 stars in its best days, more likely 3 stars and under no circumstance it is a 5 star hotel as they claim to be.

I had a pleasant stay. The room is very small, but clean. The furniture is old and a little out dated. The hotel staff including the concierge were friendly and accommodating, Vanessa was the only staff to speak English. She gave me so much help and services. The hotel location is great with a private lounger on the beach. The breakfast was rich. The hotel allowed me to check out late which was nice of them, I had an afternoon flight.

Perfect location for food and beach. Seaview from hotel room.. McDonald's across the street with many eateries available. Got a complimentary cake for birthday.

The hotel is a little bit old but well-designed. If you want to live near the beach and the action, this is the place for you. I would give this place 5 stars, but the staff tried t to force me to write a review in front of them, which was unpleasant.

As always Sunshine Resort in Sanya is like a home always from home...but with better cooking :) From the warm welcome from Vanessa at the front desk...to all the cleaners, wait staff and pool staff..you are treated as a valued visitor. It is great to see the extra loung chairs at the pool and on the property above the beach and chairs and umbrellas on the beach...well done. A big benefit is the newly developed bosrdwalk that goes the entire lenght of the beach with plenty of food and drink. Also....although I do not have kids here..they always have entertainment on the holidays for the young ones. I will always return the the special..."Sunshine" in Sanya

3rd time in this hotel - it is not new but well maintained and good price quality ratio. Good location and friendly staff, nice territory, beach just next to hotel. A lot of cafes, shops and everything around.

This is the best hotel in Dadonghai Bay. Everything you need is within walking distance. Excellent Thai restaurant on the ground floor. Large rooms and a huge territory of the hotel.

The Hotel was Like a clashup of 1980 russia meets 1990 China. Really near the beach and good Pool area If you Like bathing with 100 Chinese and russian people. Biggest drawdown ist that you can't Go into the ocean bc it seems Like 99/100 Chinese people are unable to swim. Balcony doors wouldnt Close so you have to enjoy the Chinese Singer from the beach bar Till 2 am in the night. 1.5/5 not visiting again

This is my second time staying at the Sunshine Resort Intime Sanya. Excellent service from every single person that works here, from the gentlemen at the entrance, to the front desk and cleaning staff. This is a great place for a vacation as it’s located on the beach with its very own private entrance as well as beach chairs and umbrellas. I look forward to coming back here next year. I give this hotel a 5 star rating.

We were returning customers to this hotel, having been there once before during the times of Covid. The last time we gave the hotel 5 stars, this time I feel I can give it 4. For the following reasons. The location and cleanliness were very good. Close to shops and rooms cleaned each day. We did ask to be re-roomed after the first night, as the room we were first in had a bad smell, like drains, however the staff member known on Wechat as "You are my Sunshine" was very quick to assist and upgraded us without questioning to a better room. I would say he was a very good staff member. Last time, more staff spoke English, however on our arrival, the women at the counter assumed we were Russian, in fact, most staff members did, and when we asked if there were any English speaking staff to help us, many staff (including those that arrange excursions and work in the restaurant) simply shook their heads or outright walked away. Thankfully, my broken Chinese got me through most of it, but I would recommend for the future, as more travellers come, they have at least one person there to speak Russian or English. Another issue about facilities. There are 2 pools, but I never saw the adult pool to be open, only the baby pool. And the private beach was unfortunately manned by lifeguards who wouldn't allow people to swim in the small waves of the ocean (I understand safety is important but they were blowing whistles for adults who were only paddling up to their ankles.) In future, in peak times, I'd suggest having both pools open, especially if the ocean is off limits. This said, there was always a sunbed avaliable. The breakfast was nice, with a good selection to suit all, and it continued until past 11am, which was helpful. If you want to watch TV, they have a large screen, but take a cable to hook up your computer unless you want to pay to mirror your phone through an app。 In general it was a pleasant stay, there are things to be improved, but I've stayed in much worse.
