We stayed in Chumpon as we needed a stopover en route to Khao Sok from Hua Hin. This is definitely the best hotel in the area. We had a spacious, clean, comfortable room with no problems. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffets were lovely with a huge selection to choose from.. The only problem we had and this is nothing to do with the hotel, but the beaches were terribly littered, truly beyond belief that no-one in the town cleans the litter from the beach. Chumpon is one big RUBBISH DUMP.

Seperti lokasi hotel tepat di sebelah Pantai Thung Wua Laen. Di sepanjang pemandangan yang indah, di seberang jalan menuju pantai berpasir yang panjang. Biliknya bagus dan luas. Suasana tenang Meja depannya bagus dan mesra. Jadi tempah satu malam lagi. Secara keseluruhan, saya sangat kagum. Saya cadangkan tinggal. Baru-baru ini, harga telah banyak dikurangkan. I have stayed at the Talaysai Hotel on and off for 11 weeks over the last 4 months. I have had four different rooms and all of them have been spacious, modern, newly decorated in bright and pleasant colours, and they have all been spotlessly clean. Mrs. Lek, the owner and manager, goes out of her way to make you feel at home and has been a reliable source of knowledge and assistance every time I needed anything or there was something I did not understand, which was quite often 😊 . All of the staff are friendly, positive, and helpful. An extra bonus staying here is the wonderful buffet breakfast every morning, consisting of a wide variation of Thai and Western ingredients and choices. Thung Wua Laen Beach is a beautiful little village and the beach itself is over 2,5 km long and is one of the nicest I have seen in my 35 years of travelling to Thailand. The place is quiet and hassle-free. If you are looking for a place to get away from Thailand’s mass tourism hot-spots and just relax and breath, this would be an excellent choice. I have not left yet but am already mentally starting to miss it and the people. I will be back again in November.

The rooms & hotel area were okay. But the hotel is quite far from beach other places (restaurants, shops etc.). So I think it's better suited to family or group who wants a quiet place separate from others. Also, it's quite hard to go outside unless you have your own transportation (i.e. no public transportation at all). It's also quite a long walk to the beach/main tourist spots (1 km) but I think you will need to be careful at night since you have to walk on quite an isolated road which pass thru some rubber farms which is quite dark at night.

This is an exceptional place .The staff are extremely hard working, friendly and can’t do enough for you . The villas are spotless, and the gardens and birds are tranquil. This was an amazing escape. A real hidden gem . We would highly recommend it to anyone
