Overall would say that the hotel is OK. The staffs are also OK. Only one lady staff that speaks English. It's not a problem can still use phone translator. Room is big and spacious, with a very nice view facing the hills. Everything is OK with the room except for the shower. They should do something about the shower. Hairdryer is very good. Breakfast can be obtain from a shop opposite the hotel (come out turn left and cross the street) just a few shops away from the hotel, selling very good Chicken Murtabak and also Egg with Banana Roti Canai. Location of hotel is perfect. There is ample car park behind the hotel. There is an entrance to the hotel from the car park. There is also a mini mart right next to the hotel on the right. Overall would recommend this hotel.

We found everything we had hoped for in our Christmas getaway at Castaway Resort on Koh Lipe. Beautiful garden setting only steps from the beach. Amazing snorkelling right in front of the resort (but don't miss diving with Castaway Divers too). A lovely, attentive team takes great care of the resort and guests, we loved hanging out at the restaurant overlooking Sunrise Beach for hours on end. Castaway Resort quickly turned into our tropical home away from home for our 10 day stay. Super family friendly und unhurried atmosphere, even during their Christmas peak. We hope to be back! (We booked our stay+scuba diving directly via email and their fabulous reservations team handled everything perfectly, including our minivan/boat transfers).

Stayed 4 days 3 nights. Dream beach and best view. The bay is the best and most beautiful from all 4 beaches on Lipe. The rooms are spacious and modern. Seems renovated a few months ago. Buffet is alright and reasonable for the price. House keeping seems understaffed or they do not know when you are out of the room. If you sleep in, in the morning you get a basket with water and refreshments placed at your door. But seems they do not comeback later in the day to clean. We didn’t get any house keeping. On third day, had to ask twice until house keeping cleaning came. But everyone at hotel is very friendly and welcoming. Be careful not to leave the door or balcony open in afternoon and evening. There are many mosquitos around the bungalows due to the plants and they will immediately come in. Mosquitos only around the bungalows, not at the restaurant, cafe, beach. Location and beach is sill the best. We will come back.

The hotel has an excellent location with quick access to every available beach on the island. Inside, the hotel provides all the amenities you might need for a comfortable stay: a cooling pool, an excellent breakfast with several options, also free both ways transfer from/to the port. Our room was always clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was very smooth, and the girls at the desk are very hardworking with smiles on their faces; they were happy to assist with everything. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

Apart from being almost on the beach itself, this place is a bit overrated as far as overall quality of certain aspects of their offer in services and amenities. Room is confortable, view from it is fabulous but…the pillows are horribly hard, woke up with a sore neck, the food at their restaurant is kind of ok if you choose Thai food but for American food, it is, let say, less than average, there are some choices that they scratch from their menu because they just don’t know how to cook it, simple thing bruschetta, club sandwich, breakfast is also pretty boring if you not Asian; cold and uncooked chicken sausages, cold chicken ham presented in cold water bowl, coffee is good though and toast are great, I ended up eating that only…last déception, beach access from beach front villa number 2 you need to walk about 200 meters right to the marina entrance or 200 meters left to the restaurant to get access to the beach that is about 20 meters right in front of your room. There is a concrete wall, high of about 1.6 meters that separates you from the beautiful white sand beach. See photos attached…

Firstly we was greeted on the pier by a member of staff who carried our luggage to the hotel transportation, we had approximately a 10 minute transfer to the hotel.
Reception staff were lovely, we was greeted with an ice cold juice as well as a cold towel to cool us down, after a swift check in we was taken to our room on a golf buggy, we stayed in the honeymoon suite. The room itself was beautiful, very big, amazing AC and a jacuzzi inside the room. The room is situated higher up in the complex to allow for great views but with that comes a fairly steep 5 minute walk to get to your room.
The breakfast was very good, standard options for Thailand, pastries, yoghurts, rice/noodles, eggs & bacon, pancakes, omelettes made to order plus some home baked cakes and cookies. A good selection of teas, coffees and juices available.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us, about a 10 minute walk along the beach to ‘walking street’ which is the hub of the island… the hotel is situated on Pattaya beach and is honestly one of the best beaches I’ve ever been on with certainly the nicest and clearest water.
I would happily recommend this hotel and it’s services.

PPengguna TetamuGreat location, steps from the beach. Super comfortable bed and room felt more high end than most. The rooms right off the pool are a treat. Only thing to watch is that the resort is surprisingly big so you could get a room pretty far from the restaurant and beach, although there’s a shuttle.
Pro tip: there’s a gate at the NE of the resort that is open until 9:00 that leads to a road to the walking street (and better restaurants at the north end of it) which is faster than going down to the beach and along it.

Our room (no. 6) was a good size, nice balcony, some sea views and comfortable. Staff were warm, welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist who was always smiling and super friendly. Of our 8-day stay in Koh Lipe, we spent 3 nights here. By comparison, the hotel we moved to next was marginally cheaper, also with a high (but not as high) rating. Ten Moons was the better deal!!!
Pros:
- Stunning location
- Large glass water jug in the room (which was refilled daily using a 5 gallon water bottle rather than multiple small plastic bottles). Great to see the hotel reducing the use of plastic!
- Great breakfast selection
- Food available all day
- Clean
- Staff helpful and friendly
- Life jackets, beach toys, snorkels, etc available for use for free
- Quiet location/very peaceful and relaxing
- Lovely sand (sand texture tends to vary in Koh Lipe however it was great here!)
- Walking distance or ferry ride to walking street and more livelier areas
Cons:
- One of the few hotels not showing a sign or communicating/educating tourists NOT to step on coral. The by-product is that there isn’t a lot of live coral to see although there is still a lot of fish life. By comparison, we saw a hotel further down actively promoting not to stand on coral with staff educating tourists
- No pool (although not needed as the sea area is more than ample to swim in)
- No kayaks (available for hire at THB200 per hour nearby, less than a minute walk away)
- Not for people who struggle with stairs (although there are a couple of villas on the beach without the use of stairs)
We would most certainly stay here again!

Saya bangun dengan rasa mual di tengah malam, tetapi perkhidmatan hotel masih dalam talian Mereka segera datang untuk mengaturkan kami menukar bilik, ke bilik deluxe taman Terdapat sedikit kebocoran, tetapi ruang keseluruhan dan hiasan telah digantikan dengan yang baru. Ia masih ok, dan mereka telah ditukar untuk kami pada keesokan harinya. Apabila kami tiba di suite pemandangan kolam renang dengan akses ke kolam renang, tiada tikus di kawasan itu, jadi bilik itu keseluruhannya okay. Kualiti air laut di pintu masuk hotel ini sangat sederhana. Hanya berjalan beberapa langkah ke Salem dan Oktober dan ia akan menjadi sangat cantik. Hotel ini boleh ditempah dengan pemandangan kolam renang atau taman yang mewah. Jenis bilik lain tidak disyorkan! Bilik taman biasa terletak di sebelah daftar masuk, agak jauh dari tepi laut!

PpiasureeAbsolutely amazing location. We’ve stayed in beachfront bungalow, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, had everything in the room more than we needed. There were indoor shower and outdoor shower, separated doors to go in room, through the front door and another directly to the bathroom (in case we came in from swimming all wet and covered with sand), so we did not dirty our room. Cold towels and fresh welcome drinks when we’ve checked-in, polite and friendly front desk staffs. When we’ve entered the room, it was cool with some aroma that made us feel relax. The breakfast was great, many choices of Thai foods and changed everyday. Staffs go out of their way to make us comfortable and feel at home. Beach in front of the hotel was beautiful, quiet, we can swim and snorkelling there. Walking street was near, we’ve walked there everyday, sometimes just for have some iced tea and thai pancake (Thai Banana Roti). Take a boat trip, it’s worth doing! Definitely recommended this hotel! Staffs are the best!

Namun, selepas benar-benar tinggal di sana selama 4 hari, saya berasa agak baik dan nisbah prestasi harga adalah tinggi. Lokasinya betul-betul di Pantai Pattaya. Selagi anda menempah penginapan anda untuk hari itu dalam talian, dia akan menjemput anda di jeti sambil memegang papan tanda hotel dan membawa bagasi anda. Ia sangat dekat dalam hanya dua langkah! Bersebelahan dengan Hotel Akira yang terkenal dan berhampiran dengan jalan pejalan kaki, terdapat seekor ayam membunuh kuda di hotel. Ada hayunan di pintu, dan kadang-kadang saya duduk di sana terpinga-pinga dan melihat laut jeli, gembira!
Kemudahan yang ada pastinya tidak sehebat hotel yang lebih mahal, tetapi saya rasa ia sudah memadai. Terdapat rak di luar pintu untuk menjemur pakaian, dan terdapat juga buaian. Cuma kekurangannya ialah ada semut.Saya dengar kawan-kawan tak jumpa di hotel mahal lain.Namun, asalkan ambil perhatian dan jangan tinggalkan sisa makanan di dalam bilik, ia masih boleh diterima.

Serendipity delivers on all fronts. The ocean-view villa made me pine for loved ones, as I initially felt guilty for experiencing such a property by myself. I imagined my folks opening the shuttered windows and gazing out at the sunrise each morning. I wished my niece and nephew were sitting on the villa-wide balcony, keeping me company. Yet as the days passed, I fell comfortably in love with being alone in such a magnetic space.
Steps from the most intimate, private stretch of Sunrise Beach, Serendipity balances up-scale bohemia with laid-back sophistication.
The owner, fortunately, is also a chef—noted in each dish served. Welcoming and gregarious, he was approachable without being overbearing.
Honeymoon—yes. Intimate anniversary—absolutely. Elderly parents—possibly a challenge due to the inclined stairways. However, anyone healthy should be able to navigate the surroundings easily.
Low season was a dream…

PPengguna TetamuIt is situated between sunrise and sunset beaches with small but beautiful private beach with island view and golden sand. We had a parter pull view room. It was modern fubrished but with a zing of Thai elements. Very clean and filled with everything you could need. Staff is very helpful! Hotel picked us up from the speedboat and also gave us a ride back. Breakfasts are very European( which can be a plus or minus depends on your need) , so if you would like to try something local you need to go out outside. We had a chance to see most of the hotels on the island and this one is our favourite by a mile!

PPengguna TetamuGorgeous! Let’s break it down: Room - we stayed in the deluxe Balinese hut and loved it. Didn’t have the outdoor shower like the Pattaya Mali but huge and clean. If I’m being super picky the shower could do with a bit more power but it is a small hotel on a small island so it’s fine! Comfy beds and regular fresh towels provided. Pool - we usually don’t use the pool as we are beach bums but it was THE perfect temperature. Very refreshing and cooling in the hot sun, with lovely foliage around giving a tropical vibe. Beach - stunning Lipe beach. As with most beaches on Lipe you do get the long tail boats parked out the front, but definitely more quiet than Pattaya side. Tide goes right out and exposes a lot of coral so beware if exploring. Loved the complimentary paddle boards and snorkels! Food - really good. Good choice for breakfast and ate most lunches here. Recommend the Massaman curry! Overall a beautiful tropical paradise. We would recommend and want to stay at the other Mali too! One thing: bring mozzie repellant.. the island seemed to be teeming with them!
