We stayed for three nights,what a wonderful place to stay spotlessly clean and comfortable it was a joy to return every evening and the breakfast delicious. Lee is a superb host and excellent chef he cooked us a perfect mushroom omelette which was Michelin star quality.

Very comfortable room with en-suite facilities. Breakfast is first class, with a wide variety of cereals, fresh fruits and yogurt. My room was spotless in the annex, with house keeping tidying up on a daily basis. There is a good selection of drinks to be had , including Galaxy hot chocolate. All in all a very nice place to stay.

Super place to stay - right on rhe beach and near the pubs and restaurants. Secure parking round the back or parking on the green. The room was fabulous, spotlessly clean, tea and coffee, and bottled water . Breakfast was superb and the staff are lovely and friendly. I will definitely return !

Yet again we had a lovely stay with Lee and his lovely family in their B&B in Hartlepool. Everywhere was so clean, the bed comfy, and Lees Breakfasts are superb but the overriding reason we stay is the people who are so lovely and welcoming- from Lee and his parents to Sheila and the lovely cleaner. Thank you

We have stayed at Altonlea several times. Lee, his mum and Dad are very welcoming. The room we always have is room 6 downstairs and it is huge. Comfortable, lovely decor, toiletries, kettle with plenty of tea bags and coffee sachets, plus milk portions. Also very nice biscuits. The breakfast is fabulous, and the overall pricing to us, is cheap compared to hotels and less appealing looking B&Bs. Well located within Seaton Carew.

'A Jewel in the Teeside Crown'. My wife and I stayed here for 3 days, the room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Our room had a sliding door opening to the garden which was extra special. The breakfast was second to none, so many choices and variations. A well equipped dining area was available for takeaways in the evening if needed. Situated on the seafront, close to pubs and restaurants and the town of Hartlepool and with extremely polite and helpful staff the Altonlea is a must for overnight stays if visiting the area.

We came up the country to visit family, and thought we would stay at the seaside. It was an excellent decision, as the guest house is superb! Everyone we talked to were very friendly and worked tirelessly to attend to our every need (even me with my weird egg allergy... still not dead!). Our room was really comfy, and we had private parking right outside the door. Its quite possibly one of the best places we have stayed on our travels, and we heartily recommend the breakfast before a walk on the front. Many thanks for making our stay so wonderful, we are just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. A home away from home :)

My wife and I have just returned from another 4 nights at this excellent b&b. Adjoining The Green and very close to the stunning beach at Seaton Carew, it is an ideal base when visiting the area. The en-suite rooms offer comfortable beds, with high quality cotton bedding and towels. Add the delicious cooked breakfast and the host’s north eastern friendliness and you have the perfect ingredients for a great b&b.

Very friendly and welcoming. Room and bed were comfortable and warm. Tastefully decorated and well maintained. Fantastic breakfast and very good value overall. The exterior was undergoing some ‘refreshment’ and I trust that this will make the garden space very pleasant in the sunshine (tip: don’t expect sunshine in October!)
