Ulasan 57 Myeongdong Hostel

The hotel location is excellent. It’s close to many local restaurants and the shopping area. I was able to walk to the Seoul tower and to three of the palaces from the hotel. The breakfast was acceptable. I was a little surprised we were supposed to wash our own dishes, but that was OK. Pictures of my corner room are attached.

This hotel is very affordable and within Myeongdong Street. The staffs are so nice and we had a great time staying. Thank you very much

Very dirty and stinky room, old stale smell towels, no bathroom, you must bath over the toilet. AVOID THIS HOSTEL!

Room was clean and very near to the train station. Service was good and come with free breakfast. The cons is room are small and the heater didn’t work properly

Everything was great, free breakfast just good enough to me. Room large, best location, reasonable price, will back here definitely, not suitable to family with kids under 10ys

Location is great, but the room is small. It’s like a doghouse. Breakfast is average, you also need to wash the dishes after you eat.

Even though room is quite small but location is the best, right next to MRT. A few steps away from Myeongdong market. There is also CU convenient store next door. I will consider this hostel again for my next visit.

The hostel is located in Myeongdong, which is cheap and convenient. They also provide a washing machine which is very nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! The place is small and cozy, just nice for solo travellers or backpackers. location is right at myeongdong, very convenient.

The location is good. Near to public transport station. U can see namsam tower. 30 minutes plus to Gwangjang Market.

The second time to stay this hotel. It is very near MRT and Myeongdong street food. I like breakfast and staff can communicate with English. I will book again soon.

There was no photo on their website showing the 2 single beds (0.8 wide) and really shocked to see in person how small the room was. A window handle that's nearly broken fearing it will fall down when open. Not recommended for anyone who is claustrophobic. Nearly hurt my feet while leaving my room because of dim lighting outside and uneven floor before taking the elevator. The location is little hard to find if you got out of the wrong subway exit. Morning breakfast isn't worth it with old appliances to toast your bread. They have some boiled eggs, hams, juices, milk, etc. nothing great. You also have to wash your own dishes afterwards.

From far the worst "hotel," if we can even call it a hotel, that we stayed at in Seoul. I'm not accustomed to leaving comments, but I think it's important to alert people about the condition of this place. First of all, the hotel, or rather I should say hostel, is located within a building where only floors 11 to 13 are for hotels, and there are only 2 elevators for the entire building, and only one can go up to the 13th floor. You often have to wait for long minutes to use the elevator. Upon arrival, they will ask you for a 20,000 won cash deposit, and the establishment doesn't accept credit cards (which is not mentioned anywhere). Despite booking a deluxe double room for around 100 euros per night, the room turned out to be very small, dirty with mold stains, and a strong smell of dampness. There is a window, but it seems to be sealed shut given the amount of dust at that level. The bathroom is very small, and there's only a showerhead, no bathtub. You literally have to sit on the toilet to shower (see photos). A breakfast with limited choices is included in the "service," but the surprise is that you have to wash your dishes after eating. The only advantage of this hotel is its location in the city center. So, if you're looking for a place to rest, look elsewhere; there are other "real" hotels in the same location at a similar price that are much better.
