Roynet Hotel Seoul Mapo

Though the train station is not that close, we love this location a lot. It is not touristy and have bus options as well. The hotel is very clean and the facilities are great. We will consider this on our next Seoul Trip.

Very inefficient check in and check out procedures by the staff free counter. Very inconvenient.

Very uncomfortable when talking to front ofiice staff. Very limited choices of breakfast. The lift is very slow moving.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay at Roynet Hotel Mapo — Great Location & Wonderful Upgrade! We had a fantastic stay at Roynet Hotel Mapo during our family trip to Seoul. The location near Mapo/Gongdeok station is absolutely perfect — easy access to the subway made exploring the city effortless, from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Hongdae and Myeongdong. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Premium Room, which was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable for our family of four. The room was spotlessly clean with modern amenities and a lovely view. The highlight was access to the Executive Lounge — a wonderful bonus that we truly appreciated. The lounge offered a relaxed atmosphere, great refreshments, and attentive service. It made our mornings and evenings so much more enjoyable, especially with two kids in tow! The staff throughout were warm, professional and incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast spread was impressive with a good variety of Korean and Western options. Mapo is a great neighbourhood — safe, vibrant and full of great dining options just steps from the hotel. Would highly recommend Roynet Hotel Mapo for families visiting Seoul. We will definitely be back! 🇰🇷

Room small. Location average. Amenities limited. Food options not so bad nearby. Next time I would stay in myeong dong or Gangnam area.

The worst and most horrible service that I ever experienced in a 4 star hotel after travelling to so many countries in 40 years. There was cigarette smell in my room after I returned from dinner and I requested to get it change but the reception said there is no way it can be done EVEN if I pay to upgrade to another room. The reason given “you have already slept in this room, we can’t change”. Just gave me a spray and went away, saying there is no more housekeeping at 9pm.

I absolutely loved everything about my stay here! The location is unbeatable—it's so easy to get to Yeouinaru Hangang Park, and popular spots like Hongdae and Myeongdong are just a short trip away. Plus, the Airport Bus stop is just a few steps from the hotel, which made my arrival and departure so stress-free. The building itself is grand and spacious. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade from a Standard Twin to a Deluxe room, and it was massive! We could easily open several 30-inch suitcases with room to spare. The beds were also a highlight; each was 1.2 meters wide, so my friend and I could stretch out comfortably without feeling cramped. A few thoughtful details really set this place apart: 1/ Seating: Unlike most hotels that only give you one chair, this room had two—perfect for relaxing together. 2/ Storage: Plenty of hangers and three towel hooks (finally, a hotel that understands two people need two hooks!). 3/ The Bathroom: It’s a Japanese-style layout with a separate toilet (warm seat/bidet included!) and a separate shower room. I especially loved the vanity desk inside the bathroom—it made getting ready so much easier. Overall, a solid 10/10. I will definitely be staying here again!

I think the Gongdeok area is my favorite tourist area in Seoul and the Roynet is very comfortable. Behind the big facades on the main street is the old style Seoul and the walk along the long narrow eclectic park is near by. The Roynet has the most unusual breakfast plan with a Korean breakfast . Rooms are spacious and corridors are quite too. Toilet was with a warm seat, and the toilet is a separate room. Very civilized.
