We are currently staying here and I wanted to share how amazing this lodge is. The rooms are set amongst a tropical paradise where we spotted a baby orangutan and its mother across the water while having a cocktail. BTW the cocktails are expertly made, look beautiful and the flavours represent the local vibe. About £8 each with local tax. Our room was huge (12B) and very clean. A bath in the window!!! Wow! All the staff are friendly and speak amazing English. The food is outstanding. Local dishes appealed to us and we were not disappointed. However, there are more western options if you prefer. Everything was piping hot and freshly made to order. I have an intolerance to onion- no problem. All made without onion. Prices are cheap. Local dishes for around £6 and £7!!! Good portion sizes too. A great start to our Borneo adventure.

This was our fourth stay at this lodge and we will gladly return again. The chalets have been renovated since our last visit and are very comfortable, The cleaning of the chalets was very good and the staff at meal times were first class as well as great food. A nicely stocked bar made for some nice evenings relaxing by the lake and we thank all the resort staff for a great stay

We stayed here on our way to more remote destinations in Borneo but it was a wonderful first place to stay. Very close to the Sepilok Orang utan and sun bear conservation centers. Peaceful, quiet and very pretty riverfront setting. Our villa had a wonderful view of the river as well as the jungle. Excellent restaurant and bar- very creative, beautiful cocktails, excellent menu choice, beautifully presented. Wonderful ambiance dining in front of the riverbank at night. I am a wheelchair user and while this resort is not 100% accessible it is doable if you have a manual wheelchair and help. There are stairs to get into the villa but once you're in the villa it is very large and easy to maneuver a wheelchair around. Bring something to hold on to in the toilet shower or ask for a plastic chair.

Great stay in the dorms. Me and my husband booked into the dorms which are clean, ac, lovely separate bathroom. Comfy bed, plugs near each bed. We had the dorm to ourselves. Great breakfast, used the resturant which was tasty. Got the bus from kota kinabula and walked to the hotel (no need for grab) and walked to the orangatangs. Staff very helpful on reception- giving me mugs for tea and coffee and overall lovely

This was our second visit (the 1st being 10 years ago), and both visits have been absolutely amazing. This is such a beautiful place to stay, with amazing staff and excellent food. The location itself is perfect, very close to the Orangutan sanctuary. We hired a grab car to get us to the Rainforest Discovery centre. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Sepilok, I'd highly recommend this hotel, there's something very special about this resort.

This is by far the best hotel in Sepilok and you can see why! The grounds are stunning and really well maintained. The rooms were the biggest, cleanest and comfiest out of all our stays in Borneo. The restaurant food was good especially the French toast for breakfast. The cocktails were even better. The hotel is in a great location for the Orangutan and Sun bear sanctuaries and only a 10 min walk from the RDC. The hotel staff are very friendly and hospitable even helping us book a last minute taxi to the airport when we couldn’t find a Grab. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Sepilok. We wish we had spent 2 nights here instead of 1 but the hotel books out quickly !

Staying here felt like a unique experience. We were here as part of 2 day tour to visit the nearby Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary as well as other attractions. This resort is conveniently located and has absolutely stunning elevated lodges set amongst thick forest and a mangrove landscape. A boardwalk provides an lovely access through the landscape, The lodges are spacious, without a TV and Wi-Fi, which wasn’t a problem for us on a 1 night stay. There is sone construction taking place to upgrade facilities with a swimming pool. However, The appeal of this resort is how it immerses you into the sights and sounds of the rainforest, which is something we won’t forget.

The resort is perfectly located. It is a 3 minute walk to the Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary which itself is just across the road from the Borneo sun bears. The rainforest walks are a longer easy 15 minute walk away. This all means you don’t need to pay lots of money for your guides if you don’t want to. The resort is peaceful yet had its own superb restataunt serving a wide range of drinks and cocktails. The lodges are large, clean, cool and have spotlessly clean bathrooms. All the staff speak good English friendly and helpful. All common areas are comfy and clean. They are building a pool which they hope to finish in the summer.

Great place to stay, beautiful cabin with bath and shower, easy to access safe. Main reception and eating area overlooks a lake with wonderful plants and vegetation. Staff always there to assist and it's the ideal place to stay because of it's close proximity to the orangutan and sun bears sanctuaries. Would definitely go back to Sepilok ❤️
