Hotel Brismar

The location is everything. The other reviews sum it up well. You need to be fit to get your bags to your room and the lack of effort to open the bar and be more welcoming is disappointing. The main issue is Tim's bar down below serving late and not controlling the noise in any way what so ever. One night you could perhaps put up with it but not all 4 nights. Couldn't wait to leave and go to Palma which was already planned. Clearly different ways of enforcing noise control in Mallorca as Tim's would be shut within 2 mths in the UK

The Brismar is in a great location, right on the port in the heart of everything BUT this hotel is very run down, no elevator, sparse rooms with no amenities or charm. The three flights of stairs with suitcases was not easy and we are fit athletic adults. We had one of their most expensive rooms with a balcony and sea view. Nice view but balcony needed to be rehabbed. We definitely overpaid for what we got but we wanted to be on the port and no other real options. We would not stay here again.

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, we wouldn't choose to stay here again. Upon arriving at our room, we found peeling wallpaper in several spots, marks on the bedding, and a few hairs both on the bedding and in the bathroom. We reported these issues to reception and showed the staff member our room. She seemed surprised and even insinuated that we might have caused the wallpaper damage. Although we were moved to a better room, the hotel overall needs a significant makeover. Additionally, our room was missing essentials such as an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, and mini fridge. The air conditioning unit also dripped water every time we turned it on. While the location is excellent, the decor and service leave much to be desired.

We went with my partner for dinner, the service is good. The paella was a little salty, this place has an exceptional terrace on the sea.reservation is necessary.We have only had dinner, we cannot comment on the hotello bueno de port andraxt es que un sitio de turismo poco masivo

The hotel is fantastically located as a result of its long history in Port D'Andratx. The rooms are a bit basic (I understand there is a makeover planned this winter - so expect an upgrade) but they are very clean and comfortable. The views vary, so if you care about that then make sure you are overlooking the sea rather than the back streets. The breakfast is good and provides something for everyone. The best thing about the hotel really are the staff, they are wonderful, and they create the atmosphere that makes for a great stay. They were so helpful - we had a reasonably serious sports injury during our stay and the hotel staff carried our (not so small) friend up to his room - above and beyond anything one would expect. Overall a lovely place to stay - we will return.

Lovely clean room & great views - So much potential. We saw the signs for the 2024 renovation which is quite exciting! The staff at reception were great. The room was lovely, nothing fancy but clean and simple. Some greenery and a full length mirror would go a long way! If you book a sea view room the views are incredible. The breakfast was ok, could do with refining a bit. Unfortunately there are no longer sun loungers on the deck by the sea which was a real shame and we ended up going to camp del mar for a beach day. Had there been sunloungers we would have absolutely used them and furthermore if they had loungers for hotel guests to use (and non hotel guests!) they would earn more money as we would have ordered drinks & lunch etc. The area across the road from the hotel which in other establishments is bustling and packed all day long with drinkers and diners is unfortunately empty. The brismar hotel could make a fortune with its prime placement on the seafront if it so much as advertised that it was open for drinks/dinner. But as you walk past the empty seating there’s literally nothing to tempt you in. With a path-side menu, some ambient lighting and some greenery, they could probably make more in a day from food and drink than they do from overnight stays. It’s crazy to me that such an opportunity is being missed by this business.
