Ulasan Mll Palma Bay Club Resort

We had booked the MLL Caribbean Bay Hotel through LoveHolidays. On arrival, we were told they were full and so we were being moved to their sister hotel, Palma Bay. We were told it had the same facilities, more pools, so it would be a like for like swap. Oh my... boy, was that a lie. On check-in at Palma Bay we were handed a map and given directions for reaching our room. Out of the complex, across the road, down the street. We were in the Rio Bay Hotel. It was the most filthy place I've ever seen. Discarded food left out in the hallway. No manned reception or staff to be seen. No lighting in the stairwells. Broken air con socket, hanging off the wall. Dirty bathroom. The bathroom was so small, there was barely any room between the toilet and the shower, making it extremely uncomfortable to use either. Our room was directly above the main entrance, so our balcony looked down onto the cover of the main door and could see all the litter that people had either thrown up on top or dropped down. There were people coming and going all night so it was incredibly noisy. We requested a room change, explaining that we had been moved from the Caribbean Bay and we were immediately told "I'll get you a nice room". We were moved to the Habana Bay Hotel, which is still outside the main complex but does have it's own pool and restaurant, which Rio Bay does not. We were having to walk along the street in our swimwear to use the pool and to get our drinks/meals. Habana Bay was a nicer, higher standard building than the dump that was Rio Bay, but we should never have been put in Rio Bay in the first place considering we had booked the Caribbean Hotel and the two cannot be comparable. LoveHolidays uses another agent to book the accommodation and apparently they didn't get a response from the hotel on these issues and so refunded us 10% of the hotel cost for the trauma we experienced in the Rio Bay Hotel - not particularly reflective I feel of the facilities and relaxation we missed out on
