Ulasan Bestay Hotel Express (Shanghai Renmin Square Huaihai East Road)

Only around 200m from exit 5 of Dashijie station which is just one stop away from People's Square or Yuyuan Garden and this station is also an exchange for line 8 and 14, meaning that you can go to Nanjing Rd, Lujiazui, or Xintiandi without transferring lines. Stayed for five nights in two different rooms, the room looks dated but is clean, the two towels are provided but is a little bit small (around the size of a hand towel), the first room I stayed in have some lingering smells (not sure is it a cigarette odor or not), however the second room have no such smells. The room size is just right for 1-2 person and is worth the price for its convenience location.

Good location with close access to metro station... Clean compact room with affordable price...

Good choice location but I would not recommend the rooms facing the front of the building. A little noisy.

The facility is clean with friendly staff members but there were not toiletries and breakfast was not that great…otherwise it’s as nice place

My room was small but at least it was clean. It was basically just the bathroom and shower and a small table and bed. mine was near the street so was a bit noisy but thats why they invented ear plugs. Overall it was a good hotel, just for sleeping. The location was great, 2 blocks away from Dashijie station on line 14...close to Yuyuan garden (could just walk there). Overall the location is great, I highly recommend this hotel for your first time in Shanghai.

Excellent location, nice room, clean sheets and bathroom, kind staff, easy check-in. Faciltities are a bit old, some smell of cigarettes, but overall, for the price you get a private room in great location. All was fine, thank you!

Though the towels were a bit small we got a new one everyday and it was quite nice. So far this hotel is the best I have found in Shanghai for price, location (it is spot on and close to the metro), and cleanliness. Check in and out was easy, but my favorite part was the super comfortable bed!

Very good and convenient stay.The rooms are very small but they are well kept and clean.They don’t have shower slippers (you can bring your own if you plan to come for a longer stay.The location is very convenient,close to The Bund

It's inexpensive, quiet, and conveniently located for public transportation.

Rooms are clean, everything works good. For the price paid, there is nothing to criticize. it's well located. The only be thing is they only provide small towel for the shower (the ones you use for hands). They do change it every day but the towels are way too small to dry yourself after shower. It's the first time I see this. They just don't give large towels. Also, they were work in the streets during my stay, so it was very very noisy because they were removing rocks. But I guess this is just a bad luck. Not their fault.

Excellent for the price. Next to a family mart and a bunch of local restaurants - all very cheap and great.

A very pleasant room with a comfortable bed and hot shower. The staff were very helpful. I’ve always loved this area but there isn’t much of it left with demolitions new buildings in much of the area. There’s a great little dumpling shop across the road. When the public holiday ended and work began again there was a lot of dust in the air. The area could be quite noisy at night. You can walk down to the river and up to Shanghai museum.
