Ulasan Himalayas Hotel

The hotel seems going to closed. No more managed by Jumeriah. Very quite and only a few guests. Breakfast is very standard and not many items.

The location is very convenient if you plan to visit the fair which is just on the opposite side of the road. But the hotel is quite timeworn and really needs an important renovation. To be a Jumeraih hotel this is quite disappointing. The breakfast is fine but the coffee machine hasn’t the cappuccino or macchiato option, it just can make coffee than the waiter told me that if I want cappuccino I need to add milk by myself.

Finally found a relatively quiet hotel near Century Park! Stayed in a Premier room (with windows onto the central circular courtyard) which was almost like a small suite. The biggest advantage we found over the neighbouring Kerry Hotel was that there was much less disruption of our sleep by neighbouring customers letting doors slam, when we were trying to get much-needed sleep after travelling. The room wasn't very modern, very much an older 'angular dark wood surfaces, no carpet' style, but was very clean and comfortable nonetheless and the AC worked just fine. Was encouraged to see other non-Chinese staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable number of Western options. We initially found it quite difficult to get the extra pillows we requested, but our persistence paid off. The English comprehension level of the desk staff generally was only moderate, but the concierge and the lady running the excellent hotel gym understood us perfectly.

The stay was marked by a persistent stale smell and a poorly functioning air conditioner. Extensive renovations are needed, as the hotel appears to have seen better days. I had to change rooms due to the very bad smell in the first one.

It seems Himalayas has not been maintaining their property since long (after the exit of Jumeirah) Room Floor were not clean. Shower penal in the ceiling was not working. Breakfast was not of the level of International standard. Carpets were not cleaned at the reception area. Entire complex building was old maintained. It was not worth the room charges to have taken for the stay. People use them just because they are close to the Exhibition Centre. Like they charge premium price just because of their strategic location advantage. My other team members staying at the property had the same opinion about them. Will not stay at this property in future.

I had to contyact to trip.com call center at arrival because staff at Reception didn't find my booking. Once they found, they made an ungrade as compliment, so my stay was very amazing. I will repeat next time

Overall is a happy and pleasant stay. The front desk staff Ms Molly was so friendly and helpful during my check in.

Great hotel, great location right by the SNEIC centre for fairs - only a walk away. Malls just across the road with plenty of food options too

i booked 2 rooms by mistake instead of 2 nights, when i asked the front desk to employee to fix it she said i can't do it, i told her cancel one room and make a refund then i will book another night, but for nothing

Fantastic! Locate right across the road to the exhibition center, subway entrance in right next to the lobby entrance. Across the road many eateries and night outing too. The family room's bathroom has no privacy.. travel with kids is fine but if u travel with siblings then.... 7th floor consist of all the facilities, superb. Cold and fire room, warm water pool, indoor swimming pool, good gym facilities.. just that the center area is under renovation closed for guest.

Seems some uplift of the facilities and electronic appliances in the room now. Not high end anymore.
