First, I want to give a thumbs-up to the front desk, who were so welcoming and attentive.
Second, I want a negative review for the room, which didn't match the pictures. I paid extra for a deluxe king-size bed room just because I wanted a full-size window, regardless of whether it was a street or tree view. I looked at the pictures and confirmed the booking by phone beforehand. My friend arrived early that day and checked in. After getting off the plane that evening, we were stunned into darkness. The window opened onto the stairwell, which was dark and cramped. I wondered if anyone might be eavesdropping.
The next day, I had an early trip and was anxious to get some sleep, so I didn't have time to argue. Now that I'm free, I'm writing a review.
Other hotels would indicate that if P3 rooms are located near the staircase, but I didn't pay extra just to get a staircase room.
On check-out, I saw the small window at the elevator entrance, and both had tree views. So, was this room booked by mistake, intentionally or accidentally?

Absolutely loved the hotel's design! It's very clean and comfortable, with neat, bright rooms and a sensible, understated aesthetic. But the real standout was the bedding quality – truly amazing! The mattress was just the right firmness, and the pillows and duvet were incredibly soft against the skin. I slept soundly all night and woke up feeling wonderfully refreshed. The soundproofing was also excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any noise from the corridor or the street. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling for business. I'll definitely choose this place again for my future work trips here!

GGuest UserFrom the moment we arrived, the experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. One of the staff specially took us to explore the different types of room so we can decide which room type to take which we really appreciate!! The location is so accessible!!We can reach the main tourist attractions like Xintiandi, Yuyuan and Nanjing road within 10 mins by their cab Didi and costs less than USD$3 only and the pick up and drop off point is just in front of the hotel which is so easy for us!!They even offer free popcorn and drinks and amenities like travel sunblock cream, soap, floss, body cream throughout our stay!!All of the staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional — always greeting us with genuine smiles and going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable such as helping us to book ******* delivery and helping us to collect our taobao parcels.
Our room was spotless clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared such as the toilet seat with a warm function. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, reflected the hotel’s high standards and care for guests.
Special mention to the front desk team— their friendliness and helpful recommendations truly made our stay even more enjoyable.

MM62104****Service: The front desk lady was really enthusiastic and proactively helped with our luggage, and explained the shuttle service. Having a shuttle is super convenient; you don't have to worry about anything, just catch it on time.
Environment: We booked a family room, and our child absolutely loved it. They had their own private space that felt both safe and cozy. There were even building blocks in the room, so they could play quietly every day for a while. When we left, they said they wanted to stay here again next time.
Outside the hotel, there are simple restaurants, BBQ spots, and a supermarket, which is quite convenient. Every night we came back, we'd take a stroll around the entrance.

MMccaBWe made a one-night stop here on our 10-day trip, after exploring Hangzhou and Suzhou - and we were revisiting, having already enjoyed four lovely nights here earlier. The stay was pleasant and comfortable, with a appreciated free shuttle service to nearby spots. But the highlight was the complimentary supper every night after 9pm - delicious wonton, noodles, and rice noodles! The staff were friendly, polite, and courteous throughout, making our stay even more wonderful!

GGuest UserThe room was more spacious than I'd imagined, and the view from the window was quite nice, with Jing'an Temple visible in the distance. The walk-through area in the room was just wide enough to open a suitcase, leaving little extra space, but it was perfectly fine for a solo trip.
Soundproofing in the room wasn't great; noises from outside the door were quite clear (though this is a common drawback of hostels). This might be an issue for light sleepers.
Transportation is incredibly convenient, as it's only about a three-minute walk from the subway station, which really helps save on travel expenses.
**Cleanliness:** The shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean; an attendant would clean them immediately after each use, which was very reassuring.
**Service:** Upon arrival, a staff member showed me to my room and introduced the facilities. The lobby offered quite a few amenities; I recall there was an ice machine, and I even borrowed an umbrella from the front desk when it rained during my stay.
Overall, I was very satisfied and would happily choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

The staff are very friendly and attentive, even providing foot baths and bedtime tea in the evening. The breakfast is delicious with a good variety of dishes. The most value for a very big room, it had an extra space with a couch and a gorgeous view, and we loved the bathtub. Eeolhc2My stay at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong SH was truly exceptional. The whole team speaks excellent English, and everyone was incredibly attentive.
The breakfast was outstanding: delicate wontons, high-quality fresh products, excellent fruits, perfect pastries and great detox juices. I also loved the fact that you can actually see the chefs cooking and interact with them, it creates such a cool and authentic atmosphere.
I also had dinner at the restaurant, which was good, although the wait was a bit long.

2202030****The hotel is about a twenty-minute drive from Pudong Airport. You don't need to book in advance; just contact them directly after landing. We waited about ten minutes for the pick-up. Since our flight arrived early, the hotel arranged an immediate check-in, which was very thoughtful. However, there's only one shuttle to Disney in the morning at 7:20 AM, which is too early, and the frequency is too low. So we ended up taking taxis ourselves for both days, which was very inconvenient. The bedding was rich and comfortable, and the breakfast was simple but had everything you'd need. I'd recommend it.

WWuyalailaiThis house is located in Jing'an Villa, offering a full authentic Shanghai old-house vibe. It's right next to a subway station and a cultural pedestrian street, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. I even managed to get the 'and' bread there, which usually requires a long queue in my area! The butler service was very warm and helpful, answering all our questions and really valuing guests' feelings. Thumbs up!

**Facilities**: Overall, they're good, though it might be an older building on a lower floor, which led to a slight odor. That's the only drawback.
**Hygiene**: The bedding and linens were very clean, and the bathroom was also spotless (though the toilet was a bit [censored, implied dirty/stained]).
**Environment**: The decor is a minimalist style. The desk is quite good.
**Service**: Impeccable, highly recommend.
