Conveniently located just a short walk into Dukezong old town. We got the top floor room, which is very big and provides an aerial view of the old town. Room is also equipped with smart tech to control curtains, lights. The concierge (all young people) is very helpful and carried our luggages up, provided high tea, and got us a cab to the airport upon checkout. What could be improved: some parts of the room are in need of repair e.g., the toilet cupboards, creaky floorboards. Wash basin area is really big, could consider doing a dual sink. Description said room came with heated flooring but we couldn't figure out how. Bath tub only has cold water, was a bit disappointed we couldn't use it in the cold weather.

The hotel service was excellent. We are especially grateful to the staff 阿伟 who has helped us to arrange for a driver that fits our itinerary and even offered us additional oxygen to bring along in case we needed (thankfully we did not require it). Other staff were also proactive in offering us help when needed. Location-wise it was located right outside the dukezong ancient town, so cars can still access it directly, which made it very convenient. The hotel room is also full of amenities that ensured our stay can be as comfortable as possible. Like humidifiers, oxygen concentrator, heaters and fireplace that double up as a heater...etc There was also a cute resident pug in the hotel that was super friendly.

The hotel has excellent service by serving you fruits and milk whenever u are back from your travels. The decor is modern and has a nice cozy feeling. If you are looking for something oriental and exotic, this will not be your choice. However I am not sure if you will find that in Shangri La, unlike Lijiang. Very quiet as well!

Great experience at this Shangri-La stay! Service was thoughtful and response immediate. It’s also located a short 5-10mins walk away from dukezhong, so very conveniently situated.

This hotel is well located to all the places that are great to see. The rooms are spacious and warm and breakfast is healthy and efficient.

Everything is perfect except it cleanliness, The word rubbish on the beds, it looks like They never clean under bed.

We had a great experience. The hotel staff were extremely considerate and accomodating to us and went out of their way to be helpful. They provided an oxygen machine and humidifier to help us adjust to the altitude, they gave some nice restaurant recommendations, they arranged for our laundry to be done and arranged a driver to take us to our next destination. Also the bed was really comfortable.

The location is a five minute walk to the entrance of the Shangri La Ancient City. Lots of places to eat around there. Service was prompt and friendly. They were very helpful in arranging free transfer to airport. Breakfast is local with either porridge or noodles, corn, man tou and fermented vegetables and there is fruit platter in the evening. Room has oxygen machine, humidifier, big screen TV, kettle and electric fire place. Rooms are quite roomy with 2 comfortable double beds suitable for family of 4. Just with plumbing around this area, toilet paper cannot be easily flushed.

Very nice room with many gadgets like a fireplace/heater, oxygen machine if you need it and a huge TV with great selection of movies with subtitles. Short walking distance to the ancient city and Taxi/Didi is able to stop right at the door steps. Only downside is that the counter is not always manned but they do add you to a personal wechat group and you can ping them if anything.

The location of the homestay is very close to the old town and very convenient. The room is comfortable and everyone is very hospitable to ensure our stay was smooth. Highly recommend this homestay

Friendly receptionists who advise us where to dine and where best to go. They even offer free send off to the railway stations.

The location is very near to the dukezong and the temple. The staffs also very friendly and helpful.
