Love this place, when you return back to the hotel their lovely dogs will run out to greet you at the gate, there is a huge grass area for them to play, and the sheep are so cute too. You can see Shika mountain from the property. Room is beautifully decorated, and so comfortable too, with the heated bed, floors and soft bed & sofa. Staff is friendly and quickly responds to queries on WeChat as well, and he fetched us to and from Shangrila train station which is nearby which we appreciated. This place is near Napa Sea, we rented electric bikes from a nearby hotel and had no issues booking Didi to the old city. Thank you for the loveliest stay.

No regrets choosing this place! The best hotel so far because I have got 2 little doggy butlers making sure I settle down properly. SUPER CUTE DOGGIES TO GREET YOU WHENEVER YOU ARE BACK. The place was so clean with really great view and nice breakfast. I miss the doggies already. 🥹❤️ and not forgetting the friendly staff in the hotel

My stay in Shangri-La was truly memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the hotel. Upon arriving at the train station, I couldn’t get a taxi, so I sent a quick message to the hotel via WeChat. To my surprise and relief, the staff immediately offered to come pick me up. It was a short ride, but during the drive, they shared interesting insights about the area, setting the tone for what would be a warm and personal stay. The hotel itself felt cozy and welcoming, with two dogs and a cat adding to the homely charm. They had my room ready early, so I could check in and rest right away. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and thoughtfully prepared for the cold weather—it had a large dehumidifier and central floor heating, which made it incredibly comfortable during the chilly days. The hotel is conveniently located near the Shika Snow Mountain, and from the property, I could catch glimpses of the snowy peaks, open grasslands, farms, and plantations. It was a peaceful and scenic spot—an ideal base for exploring the area. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always just a message away, responding promptly to every request. As a first-time visitor to Shangri-La, I appreciated the wealth of local recommendations they provided—from attractions to hidden spots worth visiting. One night, after a long day out, I asked for a simple meal in the room, and they delivered hot fried rice from the kitchen right on time. On my final morning, I had an early departure, and despite the hour, the staff woke up and personally drove me to the train station at 6:30 a.m. Their warmth and dedication left a lasting impression. The hotel also offers traditional ******* clothing that guests can try on for photos—complete with the option to pose with a goat! Although it was too cold during my stay to enjoy the outdoor swing or take many photos outside, the setting was undeniably beautiful. As we drove away on my last day, the view of flat grasslands with horses and cows grazing under the open sky was the perfect farewell. It was a calm, heartwarming experience—one I’ll remember fondly.

The room is very spacious and clean, and has complete amenities. We were blown away by the room (it has floor heating, oxygen, heater, warm robe,etc). We were also picked up at the station. At last, all the staff is very friendly and helpful, Best service ever!

5 Stars – A Peaceful Getaway Surrounded by Nature I had an amazing two-night stay at this homestay at Shangri-La (decided to extend 1 more night)! The accommodation was super comfortable and clean, offering a peaceful escape from the city. Surrounded by lush nature, fresh mountain air, and lovely ranch animals like horses, pigs, and cows – it felt like a cozy countryside retreat. What made the stay even more special was the host's warm hospitality. He owns two adorable and friendly big dogs – a Samoyed and a Golden Retriever – as well as two super cute sheep that roam around the property. It really added to the charm and made me feel at home. The area is quiet and relaxing, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The owner was also very responsible and kind enough to provide return transport to the railway station, which was a huge help. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled stay with warm vibes and great company!

Hotel has it’s menu for food and we ordered it for all 3 nights as it was really delicious. Owner provided service picked up and dropped us off, took care of our laundry needs as well There were animals within the compound and it was really relaxing. Flooring was heated and it was cosy and spacious. View was superb. Will return again. Best hotel chosen for the trip!

All i can say this hotel is very perfect stay for our Yunnan trip! This hotel truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its cleanliness and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the staff. The service is nothing short of excellent—they even offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the train station, which made our journey so much easier. The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The room is spacious, with a big TV screen and a cozy sofa for relaxation. The thoughtful amenities include a heated floor and bed, which were perfect for the cold weather. Even the toilet seat has a heater and a bidet, making it incredibly convenient and comfortable. They also provide additional oxygen in the room—a great touch, especially for those who might feel the effects of high altitude. The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking! Imagine waking up to stunning mountain scenery, lush green grasslands, and sheep grazing peacefully—it’s like a dream come true. To make our stay even more special, they upgraded our room for free to one with a luxurious bathtub! For Muslim travelers, this hotel is incredibly accommodating—they provided us with a delicious vegetarian breakfast, so we felt completely at ease. However, please be mindful when sitting on the sofas as their adorable, friendly dog loves to sit there too and might come to greet you. Their dog is super cute and playful, adding a warm and homey touch to the stay! One of the most delightful surprises was that the hotel provides traditional Chinese costumes for free! We had so much fun dressing up and taking beautiful photos. It made us feel like royalty from an ancient Chinese dynasty—truly a unique and unforgettable experience. Despite the language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond to assist us, offering suggestions, pinpointing locations, and ensuring we had everything we needed. A big thumbs up to the staff member whose picture I shared (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name). The hotel owner should truly give her credit for her exceptional service—it made our stay even more memorable! This hotel is located near the stunning Napahai Lake, not Dukezong Ancient City. If you’re planning to stay close to Dukezong, this might not be the best choice. But trust me, you don’t need to stay near Dukezong—this hotel is so good, it’s worth being a little further away. The peaceful surroundings, incredible service, and top-notch amenities make it more than worth it! Another fantastic perk is the nearby e-bike rental. We rented bikes and had an amazing time exploring the beautiful Napahai area and enjoying the serene countryside. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers from Malaysia. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here—it’s a memory you’ll cherish forever! Sorry I don’t take too much photo, a lot of videos only. Our host, Mr. Yao Xiang, was the epitome of kindness and hospitality. From picking us up at the train station to accommodating our requests even late at night, he went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable. He even ensured a smooth journey to our next destination. His genuine care and attentiveness made us feel truly valued. The room was nothing short of perfection, heated floors, cozy heated beds, a hot shower, and a delightful selection of snacks and drinks. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged. The package included a delicious welcome high tea, and the chance to try on traditional ******* clothing for me, my wife, and my son was a unique and memorable highlight. The breathtaking backdrop of majestic mountains, sprawling grass fields, grazing sheep, and friendly dogs and cat created a picturesque setting. It felt like stepping into a dream—a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Three days in this incredible place were far too short to fully immerse ourselves in its rich culture and beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a mix of tranquility and adventure. With its sincere, helpful, and polite host and exceptional crew, this place truly offers a magnificent experience you’ll never regret. Honestly booked this place just for the cute dogs - 饭团 & 可乐. However, the service exceeded our expectations. The staff (Qiang) picked us up from the train station and the inn owner personally dropped us off at the airport at 7.40am in the morning (working hours start around 8.30am for them) when it was freezing cold. The room was cosy, warm, with ample hot water in the shower, and more than enough space to chill at every corner. Our favourite part of this room was the little corner where we can sit and watch stars every night - really amazing how we can see so many stars illuminating the night sky. Breakfast was great too - the brother kindly cooked another bowl of noodles for us when we requested for it, and it was really yummy. Highly recommend this place and we’d love to stay here again one day!

I travelled solo from Singapore. The staff go beyond the extra mile for you here. I've stayed in a few homestays and hotels in China across harbin, zhangjiajie etc and this one is special. I ordered a taobao package which had trouble arriving and the staff tried to check with the courier and followed up across my stay. They also helped to book tickets for day trip bus tours to far attractions which, if you are not Chinese and local, would be extremely unlikely to have known about. Although it's not doable without a Chinese identity card, I was able to find my way to book the tours with their help. Location wise it is right next to shika snow mountain which is one of the main sites in shangrila. It is a bit far from town ~15mins, so you will need to book a didi if you want to go. I think that is the only downside. The place itself is clean, well maintained and stylish and has friendly animals. I think I will likely book it again.

The hotel owner is so very kind. She offered us a pickup to the hotel. Even checkout, they also offer transportation to send us to the railway station. The staff & chef are also very kind and very helpful, very chatty; even though there was a language barrier, we used mobile phones for language translation. This hotel is also very nice for dog & cat lovers. Because they have a big white Samoyed dog (Coke), a Golden Retriever (Peng Huan), and a British shorthair cat and lamb.  The room is very modernised. Got floor heating and bed heating for cold temperatures. The smart TV got a lot of movies. The curtains have auto opening/closing.  The hotel lobby also has a lot of living spaces for tea breaks, reading, and waiting while accompanied by Coke & Peng Huan and the cats. You also can play acoustic guitar.  At the back of the hotel, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the scenery and mountains, and you can make a coffee at the bar at the back of the hotel. Enjoying the fresh, cold air with a mountain view and a lot of yaks around the area. You also can try ******* costume for free.

Very good services, very good food, all staff very friendly, very good equipment, very good environment. Fast services, nice hotel, very recommended. We will repeat next time.
