Lovely hotel owned by a family who are very friendly. Daughter in law can speak english and they served us a lot of tea and snacks! Breakfast was delicious too! Picked us up on a wagon and sent us back on our last day making it easy to move our luggage. They treated us like family! Electric blanket and floor heating available in winter

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel located right in the heart of the ancient town. The location is unbeatable, with everything within walking distance, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality of the owner family. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even helping us with our heavy luggages. One of the highlights of our trip was when they personally drove us around the city! As a group of five, we struggled to find a taxi big enough to accommodate us, but the owners stepped in and made sure we didn’t miss out on seeing the best parts of the city. They also gave us fantastic recommendations, including a fun and engaging cultural show that we thoroughly enjoyed, as well as some amazing local restaurants that we wouldn’t have found on our own. The owner family’s warmth and genuine care for their guests truly set this hotel apart. If I could give them ten stars, I absolutely would—they deserve every single one! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming stay. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Ganlo Inn.This is a very friendly family run B and B with a homely atmosphere. They provided excellent top notch service from our arrival to departure. The room was clean and the most spacious room during our whole 8 days trip in Yunnan. Heating was good in both the room and toilet. They also serve aromatic barista coffee. Location is ideal - not too inaccessible from the entrance to the old town but yet very convenientl and near all the restaurants and attractions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stay in the old town of Shangrila for a reasonable price and great experience.

Family run place, and their hospitality is incredible! Loved the design of the room, was comfortable, enjoyed the balcony’s view. Would totally recommend this place! ❤️❤️❤️

Ganlo Inn is a lovely little hotel. The location is the best in Shangrila - there are many cute restaurants (and a Yunnan wine bar!) around the corner. The rooms are bright and very comfortable with oxygen machine, snacks, tea, heated eye mask and other little treats. The family is so sweet and helpful, always smiling and very accommodating. And the breakfast is lovely! Highly recommend this inn in Shangrila :)

Fantastic service. Owners made us feel welcome. Room is huge. The biggest we have stayed throughout our Yunnan trip. Highly recommended

the hotel is host by a family at the center of Dukezong old town. room is very big and is equipped with a heated floor (which is a must there since the weather is cold). the toilet can consider as smart toilet with the smart bowl and heated shower room. you can just add the host phone number in wechat for communication as we need help from them to help us to carry our luggage to the hostel.

The location is super convenient cuz it is only a few walk to the Moonlight Square - the heart of Dukezong ancient town. The family host is very very friendly and helpful. One day, when we came home around 7pm after a road trip around Napahai Lake, the auntie lady - mother of the owner ( a young male) invited us to have dinner with them and we did have a very warm hearted noodles dinner with them. In the next morning, we had to leave early for the flight back to Kunming, the uncle - father of the owner woke up early to drive us and luggage to the square - where we can take the taxi. He also prepared some boiled eggs for our breakfast. So grateful. The facility of the room is extraordinary modern. Though the temperature during our stay was -10 lowest, the room has heating, floor heating and shower heating. Just relax and enjoy the warmth. The tea set in the living room was amazing too. 100/100 points

Best hotel we’ve stayed throughout our stay in Yunnan! Host are very hospitable, making us feel like home 🥰 Location is right in the middle of the ancient city, walkable to the famous spots in the city. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in Shangrila

We were picked up by a small cart to the accommodation and welcomed to a very clean and modern designed room. Upon entering the lobby we were offered tea which was very nice. Also the room is well equiped with a humidifier and oxygen machine. Furthermore, the owners were very kind, gave us information about where to dress up (hanfu clothing) and packed our breakfast for to go as we had to head to the station early. We received many snacks to try, overall would definitely recommend! Beyond european standards when it comes to hospitality
