Shenyang Kongguan Hotel

We picked this hotel because it was at the airport, so its location is great for early or late night flights. First how to get there, see my picture. You have to walk from the airport terminal to the hotel, so when you exit the terminal walk towards the toll plaza and head to the left of it. Walk through the parking lot and the toll plaza on the left side toll gate, passing the booth. Keep walking towards the hotel and right before you get to the vehicle gate there’s a small entryway that takes you into the parking lot and into the hotel. The hotel lobby is clean, it’s has an old appearance, but that’s ok. From my reading the 4th to the 5th floors have the best rooms as for being clean. Rooms were clean, beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom is nice, but it’s a partial wet bath, so the floors will get wet. Put a couple towels on the ground to soak up the water. Rooms were also very quiet, we didn’t hear the other guests or even a jet taking off. We had their breakfast, hours are 6:30am to 9am, and consisted of mainly Chinese breakfast, but they did have a basic western style breakfast with fried eggs, some meats, some breads, and a cappuccino machine. The breakfast was good and we got full. Overall it’s a good hotel to stay at, the people working there were nice, and we’ll be staying there again when we visit family in Shenyang.

The hotel is super close the airport yet we were not bothered by the noise. I got to be honest this is not a super luxury hotel, but suite we booked is a perfect stay before our flight. The room is clean and that is very important to us as we travel with a kid. The staffs are very responsive and friendly. Restaurant is great, we order mostly home town food but they are surprisingly delicious.

We just stay for several hours to sleep before an early flight. It is super convenidnt if have a night or early morning flight.

Filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Absolutely filthy. Toilet disgusting. Mold everywhere. AC broken, did not work. Toilet was the worst part it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I thought it was bed bugs, turned out it was mosquitoes in the room. Only plus was the location walking distance to airport. Extremely rude security guard at checkout also.

I chose this as the most convenient airport hotel to Shenyang's Taoxian Airport. Just an 8 hour stay before a very early morning flight. I A little awkward to walk to and from. No sign or pedestrian lane, just common sense. About 8 minutes walk. It did not seem that reception spoke any English but all were polite and we managed. I departed too early for their breakfast, so can't comment on that. Somewhat better facility than the other airport hotel. You'll need to pull the blackout curtains, however to sleep. Disappointingly hard bed, and a strong smoke smell, but one is accustomed to that. I don't think much can be done.

If you need to stay close to the airport for the next morning early flight, this is a good choice. Other than that, nothing is compelling. It's run unprofessionally.
