I was travelling with my wife to Iran for the first time. We choose to stay at Tehran Grand Hotel 1 on seeing the reviews and we are glad we choose one of the best in Tehran. We have stayed there for four nights. There was no problem on check-in and we were given corner room on 7th floor with views of city and mountains in distant background. Room was big with windows on two sides. There was a comfortable couch in the room which can be converted to bed for children if required. Tea, coffee, water bottles and few snacks were free of charge. Bathroom was the best we have seen in three different cities and hotels we have stayed in Iran during this trip with all the required toiletries and very good rain shower. The breakfast was served buffet style and have lots of choices but they usually serve same choices every day. The staff was professional, polite, helpful and well trained. Whenever asked anything everyone tried to help us in best possible way. If we come back to Tehran again we will again stay here.

Comfortable rooms, good mattresses, and quality pillows. The showers and baths are also good. It's a nice hotel by Shiraz standards, with a pleasant swimming pool. The hammam package in their spa is worthwhile. The food quality isn't high, but the location makes up for it, being in the old center of the city. It's close to all the historical monuments and the grand old bazaar. Plus, they have Wi-Fi. I've visited there a couple of times, and I enjoyed my stay at the hotel on both occasions.

I do not recommend this hotel. Too dirty carpet. Awful service. Awful restaurant. The bathroom was horrible. After bathing, the water in the bathtub remained for several days and was not removed. They promised to change the room, but they didn't. There were very few electrical outlets. There was no electrical outlet even next to the desk. Instant coffee was not available in the room and there was not enough tea. A heel puller, shoe pad cleaner, and sewing tools were unavailable in the room. The staff are friendly but do not care about your complaints about the bathroom or other awful services.
