A beautiful old ex medieval Manor House in the Swedish Countryside South of Jonköping. Our dining room experience was second to non. We opted for the preselected wine packet with each course, and this turned out to be very wise. The Maitre D was very perceptive and delegated a charming young Frenchman to be our waiter by the name of Mathieu. Mathieu hailed from La Rochelle, which has a very strong Rugby tradition, so we also had plenty to discuss over Wales forthcoming game against Australia and of course he spoke excellent English. We did eventually get around to the fine dining, much to to my wife's relief and Mathieu steered us skillfully through the menus and wine selection. After dinner we took our coffee and cognacs in the Royal Roo which had excellent paintings of Sweden's Kings down through the ages. Mathieu was quick to point out that he was part of the Royal Banquet team of waiters for Sweden's King Carl XV1 Gustaf and Queen Silvia's recent visit to Strasbourg. Our bedroom was very cozy and well appointed. With elevators serving all floors. There was an excellent Gold course and drivng range nearby, in house spa and swimming pool, we also noticed a Padel tennis court. We rate our experience as 5 Star. Joseph Ans Kia Sharps.

The John Bauer was our central meeting point for our family meeting/reunion. We took full advantage, staying, meeting and having our meals at the hotel over our weekend. The rooms were all that we needed and very comfortable. Easy to connect to the internet. The staff was very accommodating and we felt very well taken care of. I would not hesitate to stay here again, should I find myself in Jönköping.

Just spent the weekend at this hotel with my wife, First the positives , The view of the lake from our room was fantastic. As well as from the restaurant, The front desk staff was phenomenal. Especially Thea and Tariq, We also had a delicious meal in the restaurant of deer, potatoes and a wonderful carrot puree. The room was a bit expensive for what we received, It was a Family room with a double bed and a couch in the rom It had an OK amount of space but a very simple room. There was a hole in the wall where the cable TV wires came out. I also could not find an outlet to plug in the kettle where the kettle could sit on a table or counter, I ended up using it on the floor. If not for the view the room would be overpriced. We were in the Andree building which seemed a bit tired and a general air of general neglect, The hall carpets need to be cleaned or replaced, The breakfast buffet was ok. Simple fair but a lot of variety. The restaurant food was delicious, However there were problems, We gave our order for drinks and the meal when we seated but our server seemed rushed as there was not enough waitstaff, After about forty minutes we asked about our meal and it turns out the order was never given to the kitchen. About a half hour later they brought us the wrong meals! After another 30 minutes our dinner was finally served, To their credit we did not have to pay for the food,

NNorthStar34155437690The first impression was very bad, as there was a car show right in front of the hotel and it was almost impossible to get the luggage from the parking lot to the front door, apart from a tiny gap in a fence that was full of people. Then valets in red uniforms stood in the way of the entrance and wouldn't budge, so we had to squeeze past them too. We were greeted with an unpleasant smell in the lobby, but the reception was friendly and competent. The nice lake view in our room was cancelled out by noisy cars and cargo trains going right past our window. We tolerated the constant cracking of the floor from the neighbors as it is an old building, but the extreme noise from drunk people in the hallway until well after 10 p.m. was too much. The breakfast in the morning offered a good selection and quality but the lounge was not very clean. All in all it was still satisfactory but some things we really didn't expect from a 4 star hotel.

PPengguna TetamuI stayed here while in town visiting my son. This hotel was very good. The rooms and hallways were very clean. The hotel was quiet at night so easy to sleep. The breakfast offered was the best we had been offered in Sweden hotels during this visit. Considering the very reasonable price and good location of the hotel I would highly recommend and will stay here during my next visit.

PPengguna TetamuCame to the hotel with two others, we were going to share a family room. When we got to the room, the key cards didnt work. Finally inside, the room was full of dust. Could make picture in the dust, so the room must have been overlooked by cleaning staff for a long time. No soap in the toilet. Small room, had to use a chair to the bunk bed. Tried to get the ventilation but that made the dust even worse. The room felt old, worn out and a bit sad, with a sprinkle of dust. Went down to talk to staff, meet a man that had to get more toiletpaper (at least we had toilet paper in our room). Got to talk to a good staff member that upgraded us to two double rooms on another floor. The room was clean and not as worn out (but a bit worn out...). One of the room only had one small towel (for hands). Breakfast was okey, didnt make me very impressed. Maybe the experience allready made me very hard to impress. When checked out, got an invoice, even if we paid for it the day before. Talked to another staff member, than the day before, that didnt know that we had changed rooms. I dont recommend this hotel. Id rather stay in a caravan, then be paying for this hotel.

The building was little bit older than what I am used to with this company, but it was kept up to the usual standards. The hairdryer was a bit outdated, everything else was just great. Staff was super nice and there were Swedish meatballs in the breakfast buffet, that made my day!

PPengguna TetamuGood rooms, Nice beds! Very friendly and helpful staff. I've stayed here many times as it's convenient for work and the price is good. They generally have a perfectly good, but not great, breakfast buffet. Last time I stayed at the hotel, though, I came down for breakfast at 7 and some things were already gone and wouldn't get refilled according to the staff. This time all the hot food items were overcooked, (left on the heater a long time?) and very dry. Scrambled eggs were dry crumbles, the bacon were dry and tasteless, the croissants were like two day old stale bread left on the counter. I hate to leave food, but I admit this time I did.

PPengguna TetamuL’hotel è molto bello, ricchissimo di attività sia incluse nel prezzo sia a prezzi agevolati per gli ospiti, palestra degna di nota e stazione di ricarica per veicoli elettrici al costo di 9kr una tantum, conveniente! Le tre stelle sono motivate dal fatto che una delle due stanze che avevamo riservate fosse senza finestra, e angusta, non accettabile sinceramente. Il buffet per la colazione un po’ scarso nella parte dolce ma nel complesso bene. Consigliato con qualche attenzione in più.
