Arrived in the Sitges Royal Rooms in late February 2024 for a five day mini break with my partner. The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the railway station, we chose to buy a 3 zone T-Familiar transport card from BCN airport railway station for £28 which gave us two return journeys from Barcelona Zone 1 to Sitges. This was a very relaxing, stress free way to travel down the coast from Barcelona and in only half an hour. Check in consisted of a brief tour and history of the hotel, payment of the tourist tax (payable directly in cash to the hotel, mandatory in Catalonia) and being shown to our room. We had reserved the room ”Carmen” (all the rooms are named after operas) which was spacious, clean and had a large private terrace for us to lounge in giving us some comfortable extra space. The bathroom and fittings were good quality and contained a large shower cubicle with lots of piping hot water available. We would have liked to have a drink in the garden bar which is closed at this time of year, the garden looked wonderful, but this is only a small gripe, there were lots of local places to drink. Cleaning throughout the stay was impeccable. Our hosts were true gentlemen who couldn't do enough for us to ensure we enjoyed our stay, offering advice on where to eat and places to go. We would definitely like to stay at this hotel again when we're next in the area. It's proximity to the hustle and bustle of downtown Barcelona and Tarragona makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. Sitges itself is a wonderful seaside village with a beautiful old town, modern beachfront and many independent shops and eateries, it is in fact a food lovers paradise! Sitges is also very LGBTQ+ friendly and a great family destination with locals being tolerant and respectful to all, was great to witness. There are also a couple of clothing optional beaches if you're into the naturist lifestyle. Finally - Sitges Royal Rooms may NOT be for you if you're used to or prefer ultra modern characterless hotels. It's an old building with history, the fixtures and fittings sympathetically reflect this and the décor and furniture add to it's charm. We like this sort of thing therefore highly recommend.

Bilik mempunyai balkoni persendirian. TV Pintar 43-inci dengan program satelit disediakan untuk hiburan anda, manakala akses Internet wayarles percuma membolehkan anda sentiasa berhubung. Kemudahan yang disediakan merangkumi mesin basuh dan seterika/papan seterika.

Pro: personale gentile alla reception, alcuni ombrelloni per spiaggia disponibili gratuitamente per i clienti, forno a microonde e macchinetta caffè Nespresso in camera, buona pulizia delle camere, presenza aria condizionata e wifi in camera, presenza dell'ascensore. Contro: camera piccola e senza balcone (per un soggiorno di oltre 10 giorni prenotato molti mesi prima avrebbero potuto dare una camera migliore), bagno in camera privo sia di finestra che di aspiratore, colazione con poco assortimento e di qualità mediocre (croissant di gomma e caffè terribile), signora che gestisce la sala colazioni che mette ansia ai clienti per farli sloggiare ben prima dell'orario di chiusura della sala (10.30), prezzi piuttosto elevati considerato che è comunque una struttura datata e non sul mare.

My biggest issue with this hotel is getting a reservation when I want one as it is so popular because it is so good. Have managed a few stays in the past and had another fantastic 6 night stay here in June 2024. The location is fantastic on the seafront road in the centre of all the action and with the beach just across the road. There is a lovely rooftop bar, lounge and terrace with great views of the sea which is only open to hotel guests and those staying at the two other hotels they own and where you have your complimentary glass of cava. I stayed in room 205 which was at the back of the hotel with a small balcony overlooking the pool area below. The room was a good size and furnished as I remember them but there was one issue in that the air-conditioning unit was located only a few inches above the desk which reduced the depth of the desk to an almost unusable depth and at first I didn’t think I could pull the desk out but I was able to which solved the problem and there were plenty of well-placed power outlets around the room. The air-conditioning and the wifi worked well and the bed was comfortable and the fridge kept drinks cold. There was a little balcony a few steps down which had just enough room for a table and two chairs and overlooked the great pool area and surrounding buildings which may not be every ones ideal view but I liked it. There was a compact but nice shower room with a very hi tech shower system and the room was serviced and refreshed each day by the fantastic housekeeping staff. There were a couple of large closets but because the wall behind them was angled they were not very deep so didn’t provide as much storage as you would think by looking at them. While the rooms are fine the best thing about the hotel is the staff, pool and the absolutely fantastic buffet breakfast which is available from 8am to noon which is great as Sitges is a late night town. The pool area at the back of the hotel is more a therapy pool with a number of water therapies and is great for that though it isn’t a pool you can do laps in and has a nice but small decking area around it. All the staff I dealt with from front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast room and bar were all wonderful and the breakfast buffet has so many things on offer and would put many 5 star hotels to shame. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, just don’t book it so much that I can get a room when I want one.

Hotel Sitges is a quirky hotel. The foyer is decorated in a tasteful manner. The rooms are modern, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The a/c is amazing and kept us cool during the hot days and nights. We didn’t eat at the hotel for breakfast but the buffet looked well stocked and enough choice to satisfy most needs. I would like to thank Rosa on Reception for being very helpful when hiring e-bikes. She went out of her way to help. She was also chatty and friendly. The hotel is out of town but close to one of the many beaches. We did not mind the walk to local restaurants and bars. We would stay at the Hotel Sitges again. Thank you.

Durante mi estancia en el hotel no tengo nada que objetar, todo correcto, el buffet estaba muy bien, el personal muy amable y siempre ayudando. Estuve dos dias y sin duda lo recomendare y si vuelvo a Sitges sin dudarlo volveré al hotel

Apartamentos Sunway Tara are found in the centre of Sitges, a charming town within easy reach of Barcelona. Its clean sandy beaches are complemented by an attractive old town and a wide selection of cafes and lively bars. Each apartment comes with its own kitchen, allowing you the freedom to prepare your own meals. They are surrounded by a pleasant garden and spacious terrace where you can soak up the sun in peace.

Oh, sorpresa: El complejo de apartamentos estaba en obras. Nos dieron un apartamento justo enfrente de ellas (obras grandes, construcción de la recepción e instalación del ascensor). El ruido era insoportable. Hablamos con el encargado, Matías, que nos prometió que los ruidos cesarían (martillo neumático para abrir una zanja , cortadora de baldosas para suelos, instalación del ascensor), pero no fue así. A las máquinas había que sumar los gritos de los operarios y del personal de limpieza del complejo, desde muy temprano. Al final, conseguimos que nos cambiasen de apartamento, con lo que algunos ruidos mermaron pero aparecieron otros (habitación de calderas justo enfrente, adultos jugando al fútbol y dando pelotazos a las casas sin ningún control, tareas de adecuación final y limpieza de zona de obras terminadas, etc.). Sabemos que no fuimos los únicos en quejarnos. Habíamos pagado un dineral y acabamos cabreados y con sensación de timo total por las respuestas que recibimos de los responsables. ¡Estas obras no se pueden hacer en temporada alta y menos alquilando los apartamentos más próximos! En cualquier caso, y al margen de estas circunstancias, la relación calidad-precio desalienta. para empezar, tuvimos que ir a buscar las llaves a un hotel que está al final del pueblo, pagando un taxi y esperando un montón a que nos atendieran. La ubicación es cercana a la playa pero no hay donde comprar NADA en los alrededores, te tienes que ir hasta el centro andando o en autobús. En resumen, jamás volvería y jamás lo recomendaría.
