Just recently stayed for four nights at Solo Paragon Hotel for business trip and enjoyed my stay overall. To be very honest, Solo Paragon was not my first hotel choice when I looked at accommodations in Solo for this business trip. However, there was no other options left when I wanted to reserve as Solo had multiple international events during my time there. Pre-arrival impression was unpleasant as when I texted them requesting for airport pick-up arrangement, they turned down my request immediately stating that they were busy with the international event. Moreover, I requested assistance to send some packages from the hotel but again they turned down my request stating they did not provide that service. I have been working in the hotel industry for a while and fully understand that these two were supposedly the basic service offered to guests, let alone by a property at Solo Paragon Hotel level. At this stage, even before arriving to the hotel itself, I was devastated and had actually looked at other accommodation option. However, as everything was on prepaid basis I decided to just go with it. The tide started to turn when I decided to give the hotel a call one day prior to arriving, as I wanted to understand more about the city (this is my very first visit to Solo). Patty - the lady who picked up the phone, was super helpful answering my questions and really getting me prepped up for my trip. Throughout my stay also, I coincidentally met her almost every day of my stay (usually in the afternoon). She was always being nice, helpful, and friendly. She even assisted me to plan a short tour around the destinations in Solo. Her presence at the Front Desk really brought positive ambience there, in addition to of course all her colleagues in the Front Desk and Lobby area - including the Security team. Solo Paragon Hotel is also located in the heart of Solo, make it super easy to go everywhere. There are Solo Paragon Shopping Mall just downstairs - shops, coffee shops, night markets, and restaurants in walking distance - and also going around by car feels close to everywhere. Definitely recommended for travelers seeking for easy access to various places in Solo. At this stage, the great staff and strategic location really made my business trip convenient and at this point I had forgotten my unpleasant pre-arrival experience. However, still there are some points that requires upgrade for Slo Paragon Hotel to get their perfect 10/10 experience. First, I felt that there were no standards in the Housekeeping service; sometimes they left the bathroom door open somethings they did not, sometimes they folded the bath mat above the toilet sometimes on the floor, sometimes they brought spare laundry bag and form when I requested for laundry service and sometimes they did not. We booked a twin room for two nights. On the first night the music and karaoke from the bars next door made it impossible to sleep. The hotel explained that there was nothing they could do about the noise and that it would end by 11.00. It was dreadful in the actual room with doors and windows shut - it did not stop until after 11.30 pm. We had paid for two nights but left after one. We could put up with the grubbiness of the room but the music from two separate venues was deafening and made it a very bad sleeping experience. I would advise against staying there because of the noise from the bars nearby.

Hotel ini bener-bener strategis banget karena lokasinya di pusat kota. Pegawainya ramah-ramah. Harganya kamarnya affordable, kebersihannya oke ruangan wangi. Hanya water heater dan shower tidak berfungsi dan keset kamar mandi basah. Ada wifinya, dan ada air minum galon di dekat resepsionis bebas refill kapan aja, juga disediakan teh. Solia Hotel's location is quite strategic, near Solo Balapan train station, food scene and easy to get anywhere from there. Check-in process wasn't smooth, but it is totally understandable because the hotel was fully booked and many guests came at the same time. But hopefully the management can anticipate this and do better in the next holiday season. The lobby is a beautiful Javanese old building, pleasantly scented, the staffs were friendly and helpful. The rooms are located on the newer building on the back. They provide traditional beverages for welcome drinks. The room was clean, water and AC worked well. Bed and pillow were comfortable although there were some stains and holes on the bedsheets. Door handles of balcony almost broke because of its unusual way to open and close (though the management has stuck the instructions on the door). This hotel is recommended for those whose in budget and need centrally located hotel.
