I always enjoy staying at Waterstone Lodge. It's elegant, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the breakfasts are outstanding. Andrew is an experienced, well-organised host and an interesting person to have a conversation with. It doesn't surprise me in the least that his establishment is so successful. I have a deep respect for passionate individuals who do what they do well.

This was the first time that we stayed here, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The whole venue is welcoming and nicely set out. The room we occupied was spotless and comfortable and access to the sparkling pool and the lounge, garden and dining area was easy. Breakfast buffet was superior.

We stayed 10 nights to take part in a nearby croquet tournament and were very happy with all the facilities. Andrew is a friendly and charming host and Charmaine was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Overall we felt like we were at home with luxury service all round. A wonderfully complete and delicious breakfast with everything you could want every morning to start our day, plus a comfortable bed, excellent rain shower and a refreshing dip in the pool, our stay was most memorable.

We arrived at Waterstone, having been recommended to that venue when a previous reservation went awry. Waterstone is clean and very well managed and we, in the "best" room, were very comfortable with a "private" terrace and our "own" garden. No complaints! Not sure about the other rooms. The pool and pool area is small, with limited loungers. Now, this worked OK as most of the other guests were "groups" mainly golfers, so out all day. If that were not the case... Nice restaurant (Steffanie's) opposite, but the property location is a little way from town and vineyards, etc. Maybe not a problem? And we have been further out in SW, in the past! Breakfasts were good, and staff excellent.

The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. Load shedding hit during breakfast hours, but Charmaine managed to keep the kitchen running and no one went without hot coffee or toast! Definitely a well run operation. I would recommend the Waterstone for a great stay in Somerset West.

We went to stay at Waterstone lodge as colleagues for work. Andrew was most welcoming and accommodating with our request for a spot to work as we arrived earlier than check-in. The interior is well decorated yet comfortable.

The accommodation you are staying in can make or break your holiday. Waterstone Lodge made our stay in Somerset West very pleasant and comfortable. Highlights in the room were the comfortable beds and a very good working shower head. We will certainly come back.

The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful...attention to detail. The location.- you couldn't get a better location - seriously great atmosphere at a more than reasonable price. Thank you to Andrew for being so accommodating.

Spacious, well-appointed, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The service was exemplary and the personalised breakfast was scrumptious. The care and attention with which Andrew managed this lodge is evident and he was very accommodating.

Andrew is a fabulous host and couldn't do enough for us to ensure that we had a great stay. The lodge is comfortable, with many amenities offered to us so we didn't have to sit around in our rooms. The breakfast and the cappuccinos - excellent!

Very well appointed Lodge. Room was beautiful and very clean. The location was perfect for us. The host very friendly. The only aspect that needs improvement is the breakfast quality. Only bread for toast is offered. Cold meats and cheese were not very good. One other aspect I would like to point out is that the offer for marmalade was not good. Only one of the three offered was good. The other two were not. Their smell wasn’t good.

Highly recommended stay! Beautiful and well-appointed rooms and public areas. Attention to detail ensure that the high-end decor remains warm and inviting. Gardens and pool are quiet and beautifully maintained. The owner and staff are exceptionally accommodating and caring. Substantial and beautifully presented breakfasts are included, as are Nespresso machines, fresh milk and cookies in each room. Home away from home!

A short distance from Stellenbosch and the airport, ideal for relaxing after a long flight. Very tastefully furnished with great attention to detail. Very good box-spring beds. Shopping center nearby.

Waterstone Lodge is a beautifully decorated lodge. Attention to detail in each area of the lodge is impeccable. Service with a smile which makes you feel at home upon entering the lodge. Garden area is peaceful where you can relax and enjoy the pool & patio.
