Southseaa Inn

We have had an absolute nightmare trying to get a refund from the crook who runs this ‘hotel’. We never ended up staying as the place felt very unsafe, and we were asked to pay an extra damage fee, upfront, before getting our keys. This is something we didn’t feel was made particularly clear when we booked. We would have, reluctantly, paid via credit card (it was late and our two young children were very upset) but he wouldn’t allow us to pay via credit card. The manager, aggressively, told us to take out things and leave and sort our refund with Booking. He has since gone back on this, and we’re currently in a dispute with our credit card company. Please don’t make the same mistake as us. Since all of this, I’ve realised they have an alias hotel name and have many bad past reviews (Southsea Inn). My little boy remembers the experience and I feel like a terrible parent for taking him there. Don’t book - pay the extra to be somewhere safe and sanitary. I wish I’d read this review!
