Stayed 3-6 June 2024, Double Room Premium Plus Very good hotel within the heart of Friedrichschafen old town areas. Walking distance to everything - ferry terminal, railway station, Zeppelin Museum, waterfront, shops. Room was very good, large and comfortable, well laid out. Breakfast was good with a lot of options. free 24/7 coffee, tea and water in the reception is a great feature with nice relax area and also outside tables on street front. The included Bondensee card received when checking in offers fee travel - so include Lindau and Dornier museum in your trip (Dornier Museum has a great cafe and food and can view the Zeppelin taking off and landing). Take bus rather than train since it stops right out front. Easy to spend 3-5 days here, lots of good eating options and great places to visit nearby using the Bondensee card. Good hotel baggage storage so easy to get here morning.

POSITIVE: • We stayed in the room number 161 which might differ than other standard rooms • İnternet is very fast and practical • Rooms are very large and comfortable. • Very quiet place to sleep • A Greek restaurant is in as an alternative. • Kitchen was good and enough cutlery • Very comfortable and large balcony. • Fridge was working (not very cold yet but OK) • The receptionist lady was kind and helpful to us when needed. I have forgotten my jacket during check out and she was kind enough to post it to my home address. • Hotel has enough & large car park space. THINGS TO IMPROVE: • Self-check-in was not explained before clearly and wanted our time when we arrived very tired already. • Coffee machine was not working • Bath was good but the arranging the warm was not working very sensitive. It was little too hot..

This hotel is just fantastic. The rooms are clean, updated, comfortable and you can relax/sleep perfectly. The A/C works very well as well. The staff is amazing and price is right. I arrived very late and was treated very well by the gentleman running that shift. Breakfast was perfect. The hotel is located very conveniently and parking is free. Love this place!

Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful. Any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. The self-service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day. There is a restaurant also on site, but I didn't use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails, from what I witnessed. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink. There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book, but it is a reasonable charge, in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants, it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without a doubt. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax, you are required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area, these are picked up from the hotel reception. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. I definitely recommend this.

We stayed in a Lake View Suite. I believe they only have two of these rooms. It was a very comfortable room with a king bed and a glass wall between the bedroom and bath area. There is a curtain for privacy in the shower and a separate potty room, although the potty room door is smoked glass. The room did not have any coffee making capability, but breakfast is included. We had drinks in the bar upon arrival, which was very relaxing. We chose this hotel for the view, king size bed and proximity to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

Eeuph0r1aBooked their newer room which is located at a separate building just behind the check in building. Room feels more like 30 square meters. Very comfortable bed. Do note that shower area has no door. Potty is located in a separate toilet just next to the main door (see photos). Love their buffet spread too!

4473flaviasThey claim that this is a 4-star hotel, I wouldn’t give them even 2 stars. Location is ok, but it is old and very poorly maintained. We had two hotel rooms for our party: one of them had a noisy air conditioner, broken window curtains and no amenities beyond a poor bath shower gel, but still quite ok compared to the other room we got. The other room was at the lowest floor, dirty, without air conditioner (only two very noisy and dust-dirty ventilators, that triggered our daughter’s allergy), broken blinking fluorescent light at the bathroom, mini-bar was turned off to save energy (??!!) and door was badly damaged. From the rooms we could hear everything that happened in the parking, at the hotel aisles and the rooms nearby, so that we could not rest properly with every sound and light waking us up! And when we woke up the day after, we had to walk under heavy rain towards the main building for breakfast. Not even a standard umbrella to be offered as to avoid the guests to be soaked… And the prices are still for a 4-star hotel, which is completely unacceptable. There are better options nearby, avoid this trap by all means!

LLiz COrdinarily, I might pull my punches in a review in light of the fact that there are real people who work hard and put their time and effort into making hotels what they are. Thanks to reception-tron - the ATM which completed our check-in - I did not meet a single human being on the hotel staff, and therefore feel I can be brutally honest. The hotel building has an unassociated ****** on the ground floor, while the hotel itself occupies the second and third floors. Should you ever forget this detail, the secondhand smoke and cacophony of gamblers will swiftly remind you. If anyone in your party is prone to epileptic fits, I'd recommend avoiding the second floor, as the flickering fluorescent lights would be an easy trigger. We did not have high expectations for the room and amenities - given that this is a budget hotel - but we were still underwhelmed. The white tile of the bathroom walls had several visibile vestigial hairs from previous guests. The black plastic of the bathroom floor, shower and toilet almost fortunately concealed whatever else might be lurking. of course, the Poco furniture was cheap. In this case, it was particularly noticeable given that the proprietor hadn't measured the appropriate space for bed side tables or desks, and that as a consequence, drawers directly abutted walls. While not a significant quality of life issue, it serves to illustrate the attention to detail taken. But let us not bury the lead. At about 0230, we began to hear an angry wrapping or banging on a door out in the hallway. Due to the lack of soundproofing, we weren't sure at first whether it was our own door, luckily it was not. At first, we decided to be patient...perhaps reception-tron had improperly dispensed a key. However, our aspiring percussionist companion's problems ran farther deeper than a mislaid key. The knocking was violent and incessant over the course of about 45 minutes all told. It ultimately turned out to be a sort of cold war domestic dispute between our door knocker and someone inside the room who refused to let them in. We repeatedly attempted to call the reception, but the line was busy. After those 45 minutes or so, we decided to call the Polizei. For what it's worth, that's the first time I've called 112 in about 4 years of living as an ex-pat in Germany, which should speak to the severity of the incident. Thanks to the aforementioned paperthin walls, the person violently banging and yelling almost immediately ceased after I began describing the situation to the Polizei. When they did arrive and came through the front door, the situatino had been resolved. To our knowledge, the front door is supposed to be open until 0100, after which you can use a code provided to unlock it. We found this concerning, due to the fact the public has unfettered access to the hotel prior to 0100--if the Polizei were able to enter freely or had been able to acquire a code we are unsure of.
