Great hotel close enough to old town for a quick walk to the palace, yet just far enough away that it’s still quiet and easy to get to and from. Staff is great and being able to park the rental car overnight in the garage made a world of difference. Will come back and will stay here again.

Fabulous hotel and staff. We stayed in a Superior Room with sea view on the top floor and the views were fantastic. Our room was ready before check in time and it was spotlessly clean. It was a small room, but for one night it was fine. The bed and sheets were very comfy and the ac worked very well. We used the roof top bar and pool area. The pool is very shallow, apart from a small section at the end, but it good enough to cool off in. It's also a good spot to boat watch from. All of the food and drink we had at The Ambasador during our short stay was very good. The staff were professional and happy to help. My partner and I both had massages which were very good, and a nice treat. We didn't use the spa or gym area, but we looked and it was clean and welcoming. We would definitely stay at The Ambasador again, and would highly recommend it for a stay in Split.

There is also a bar and restaurant downstairs. We were on the second floor and there were stains on the carpet in the hallway, but that didn’t affect my hotel room. We walked in the hotel room and it was clean, brand new and spacious. The bathroom was so clean and big. The only criticism of the bathroom is that it doesn’t have an electrical outlet. The room had lots of storage and was well planned. The hotel is about 20 minutes from old town Split so we ate dinner in the hotel. We also had breakfast there. The food was great! Don’t be scared off from the one star reviews!

For a 5 star hotel I must say they are just ok staff were Okish we was not allowed to be at the bar in swim wear even though we were staying at the hotel and the outdoor pool was closed, beach area was closed being fixed and indoor pool had no area to consume drinks or else

A lovely stay in Briig hotel. A perfect location by a local beach with easy access to the port and town in under ten minutes by foot.
Very spacious rooms with a super comfy XL bed and updated designer toiletries in the bathroom along with the amazing shower.
A small but functional rooftop pool and sun deck and lovely garden to have breakfast and drinks.
As a designer hotel it might be even better if it were adult only…but I appreciate that is highly subjective.

Love its location. It’s very convenient to walk to the Old Town and also has a convenience store just round the corner. Service by the reception was also top notch. He could see us through the camera while we were parking. And since it’s raining, he came out with umbrellas for us. Loved it!

Très joli hotel à 20 minutes à pied de la vieille ville. C'est bizarre de trouver un établis*****t de cette qualité dans un quartier si moche. Ce n'es pas grave, mais ça surprends au début. Avec Trip j'ai eu un tarif exceptionnel et la chambre était très grande et super équipée. Très bon petit déjeuner également. Qualité prix imbattable. Bravo.

The hotel is new and modern, with comfortable, very quiet rooms, and a fantastic spa area. They have 3 types of saunas, a hot tub, and a pool where you can order drinks. We walked to the palace and waterfront downtown and we drove easily to Split's mall from Time. The staff is amazing!! I like being in hotels near the fun town activities, but without the business and noise. This hotel was perfect. Next time we come to Split, I will be staying here!!

Their breakfast is delicious and authentic. The hotel itself is spectacular, however, what takes this hotel to another level is the personal service the staff provide. We had the privilege of meeting Jan and Ante who truly made our stay here one to remember. They both went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. Jan and Ante made our time in Split so memorable. Thank you so much Jan and Ante! Also- The hotel keeps traditional Croatian Rakija (like a sweet dessert grappa) in the lobby for you to enjoy at anytime which was a special added touch.

Great choice for location to old town modern facilities in an old building spotlessly clean. Reception lady extremely helpful. Would suggest asking for an apartment on first floor or at the back and not fronting on to street however in a nice area and no security problem, we felt fine but just a bit of a concern for my 17 year old daughter who was in her own room on ground floor. Would stay again

Tucked away on a picturesque street, this delightful B&B offers the perfect base for exploring Split. Just a short stroll from Diocletian's Palace, its location couldn't be more ideal for immersing yourself in the city. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only was it more spacious than expected, but it also outshone the website photos. The windows framed a quintessential Split scene: terracotta rooftops, blinding white stone, and the mast of ship moving in the distance. What more could you ask for? We enjoyed peaceful nights in the comfortable bed. The modern AC unit proved invaluable during our summer visit, allowing us to take a break to cool down from time to time, as temperatures outside soared to 34°C. The pre-ordered breakfast, while simple, featured quality ingredients and made for hassle-free mornings. And throughout our stay, the staff were also friendly and helpful. For travelers seeking a little Old Town charm without paying Old Town prices, and with all the modern comforts one might want, this B&B hits all the right notes. We plan to return on our next visit to Split!

Stayed here as part of a tour. The Hotel itself isn't too bad, nice rooms, mini bar, room safe & a good size TV. The bathroom is nice. However, they have squeeze bottle soap dispensers, which are a bit annoying. Breakfast was okay, but there was nothing to rave about. Staff were nice & friendly. There is a supermarket nearby and a shopping mall a short walk away. However the location is a bit out of the tourist part of town & I'm sure if yiur a tourist you could find something closer to attractions

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for a week in early October, and had a great time. First of all, the reception staff were really good - friendly, helpful, seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing, and if they could help etc. Excellent. We were on floor 3 (room 2) which meant we had a great view over the roofs with the sea in the distance. The balcony was small but big enough for a couple of seats and a table, and it had the sun from dawn until dusk. The room itself was nice - really large bed, and as it was a fairly big room, plenty of space for two people to walk around and not get in each others way! Fridge and safe were both included at no extra charge. Breakfast was nice - plenty to fill us up and serving until 11am meant there was no rush. Location wise, we found it ideal. Being in the old city would be nice, but this is only a short walk away (20 mins?) and could be either along the beach (paved path the whole way) or was a simple straight road down through the town. We did get a few Ubers which cost 5.50 each way. We're happy as long as we're in easy reach of the action. The beaches are a 5-10 minutes walk - depending on your preference for sand/pebbles/rocks, you can just walk along the path until you find a spot you like as there's a bit of everything. Shops and bars along the seafront too, so that's good if you need anything. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing - plenty of sun during the day, and although the pool itself was cold, it was really nice once you're in! Although it's only a few minutes walk to quite lively shops/cafes/bars, the hotel was just off a quiet street and felt really calm considering how close everything was. Overall we were really pleased with our choice, no complaints at all (we did have a noisy air con unit outside on the wall, but this was sorted the same day as we mentioned it - again, great work from the staff!) If we find ourselves in Split again, then I would be more than happy to stay here!

PPengguna TetamuWe had a lovely four-night stay at this hotel, tucked away in the Diocletian Palace. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was very good indeed. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried a fair few! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hopefully we’ll be back!

WWDavidThe Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere.
However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.)
I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location.

PPengguna TetamuExcellent stay at Prima Luce. The room was very clean and very comfortable, the Air Conditioning was excellent. Note that on certain nights, there is a nightclub in the same building which does tend to make some noise as you can hear a bit of the thumping of the music. The location was amazing as you are right beside the old Roman walls, restaurants, bars, nightlife, shopping and very close to the beautiful ”Riva” marina. Beaches are a short uber or cab ride away, they are very close. Very comfortable stay and excellent service from hotel staff.
