CCaw03The Taj Cormandel was a fantastic hotel and stay for us on our recent trip to Chennai. We were made welcome from the minute we stepped out of the cab. All staff are very helpful and friendly but Amit from the Chipstead deserves a special mention for his outstanding customer service and welcoming manner.
Rooms were large and very comfortable. Housekeeping and services were top notch, plentiful large towels and hot water, plus some housekeeping surprises we enjoyed on our stay.
Breakfasts were buffet style with lots of choice and culinary types, service was very well organised and any special breakfast requests delivered to your table.
Choice of restaurants for having dinner and a lounge for drinks and cocktails.
Swimming pool with outside loungers and fitness room are on the lower ground area of the hotel. Towels provided.
Would recommend a stay here.

HHaruyoshiBreakfast is rich in taste and variety. Facilities are kept clean. The face towel is soft and fluffy, but the bath towel is hard and thin and smells like the kitchen. Is it because I wash it with various things? Considering the room size, staff friendliness, and breakfast, this hotel is more affordable than the price.

The food was a highlight, especially the breakfast buffet which had a wide variety of international and local selections, all delicious. The spa and wellness facilities were also top-notch, making it a truly relaxing experience.

MMalik_ExplorerThe hotel is actually getting outdated with boring interior with fading colors and stripping off hard materials, they should do something about getting rid of birds that pooping on windows and unpleasant views. Exterior obviously can see lots of cracks all over building. Fayaz the front desk guy check in dunno how to smile when welcoming customers. You are saying it’s luxury collection hotel but something you have to work on it. Otherwise competitor will take over.

VVikneswaranGrand Chennai hotel with great location and hospitality. Live up to its name. I feel safe staying with family members in room 603 and 605. Thanks for the complimentary fine and delicious breakfast. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They helped me to carry my shopping bags to my room. I love Komal and Poushali both lovely receptionists at the front desk. The telephone operator is very kind to let me use the weighing scale. Live band and dance performance give a positve vibes.

MMir69Staff at the reception are nice and friendly, crews and bellboys helps with your stuff. However, got harassed by one staff at the bar. We were being forced to leave where we are seated to a sofa near the bar and embarrassed my friends while we are waiting for the coffee we ordered at the bar. Tirelessly, even to the point of heated argument he never stopped until I made myself clear that I am going to report him. I had been a guest for this hotel since 2019 and unfortunately treated like this. This staff must be removed for inappropriate action.
