The Palace Schon Milesi was a very nice place to stay, however, finding it was pretty challenging. We used Google Maps, but most of the roads in Croatia don’t have street signs on the roads, and then this guesthouse didn’t have any signs that it was a guesthouse. No signage at all. Parking in the neighborhood was limited, but we did find a place to park and then started asking neighbors that were around where the guesthouse was. It was good that the guesthouse had a swimming pool since that was unique for the area. The house did have dedicated parking for two cars and we had requested parking when we made the reservation, so that wasn’t an issue. The room was lovely. It was huge, bright and beautifully decorated. The room had a king bed and a very nice bathroom. The lady who owns the guesthouse was also very nice and shared some restaurants in the area that she likes. The house was owned by her grandmother and when she passed they turned it into a guesthouse. The walk to town was about 15-20 minutes and along the way there were two markets if you needed anything. We were always picking up drinks. Breakfast is not included in the room, so we ate in the old town area. On a side note, we needed to laundry in Split and it’s a little challenging finding self-service laundry mats. We did find one close to the mall, Speed Queen Praonica Rublja. They had 4 washers and 4 driers. The detergent and softener is included in the wash. We were able to do two loads of laundry for about 15E. It took us about an hour to do the wash.
