Hotel berhampiran Footloose, St. Julian's

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. It’s definitely not a 5 star hotel. It’s old and grey. Breakfast is a mess, swimming pool is full of people and difficult to get sun beds there. The beach is way to small for the capacity of the hotel. The hotel itself is quite old and it’s located on a busy street, but that’s all. No sea view and the construction ne t door is very loud. The reception desk was fine and we got 2h additional before we check in, because we got to the hotel earlier - that’s a plus. Besides, I would not recommend it.

We had a great time at Noru hotel, easy to get to and around. The rooms are great, clean and spacious, Breakfast was great and lots to choses from. Lovely polite staff, very helpful reception staff, Milena and her colleagues. Great staff at Boka Wa bar, very good service from Lorna, Mary, Fleur and Anita, very helpful, kind and friendly. Lorna was very knowledgable about beverages and Rum. The bar staff made our stay very interesting and pleasant, recommending lots of places to go and ways to travel!!! Very pleased all round with the hotel and having a spa there was great and perfect. Would come back again to Noru Hotel.

When we arrived for check in we had problems with the booking as we was given the wrong room type by the supplier as we booked partial sea view room and we was checked into elegant non balcony room. The room was not what was expecting and we was disappointed and it ruined our stay at the hotel and the hotel was fully booked so we couldnt switch to the room we payed for. But we did get alot of help from Theo who worked in the reservations department. He tryed his best to accommodate us to the right room he was very friendly and polite and kept us updated all the time on the process, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked, Though it wasent the hotels fault it was trip.com/expedia he offered breakfast for free during our whole stay at the hotel as a consultation for all the hassle during the stay. Trip.com did offer to reimburse the money we had lost paying for the pricer room type while we was staying in a lower cost room, but we was disappointed in the compensation trip.com offered us and this ruined our whole holiday. And apparently this has happened on many occasions to other guests so my suggestion is the definately call the hotel of your booking agency to confirm your room. Once again thank you Theo of H Hotel for your kindness.

The hotel is absolutely new and beautifully designed. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, offering a truly comfortable stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. However, the hotel is located a bit far from the main attractions, which might require some extra planning for sightseeing. If you don’t mind the distance, it’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy a high-quality stay.

Il nostro soggiorno all'Hotel Onyx a San Julian, Malta, è stato semplicemente stupendo. Sin dal nostro arrivo, siamo stati accolti con un calore e una disponibilità eccezionali da parte del personale, sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza con professionalità e cortesia. La pulizia dell'hotel è impeccabile, con stanze sempre ordinate e perfettamente igienizzate, un dettaglio che abbiamo molto apprezzato e che ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole e rilassante. La colazione merita un 10 pieno: ricca, variegata e di alta qualità, è il modo perfetto per iniziare la giornata. Ogni mattina siamo stati deliziati da una vasta scelta di prodotti freschi e gustosi che hanno soddisfatto appieno le nostre aspettative. Quando torneremo a Malta, l'Hotel Onyx sarà senza dubbio il nostro punto di riferimento. Consigliamo vivamente questo hotel a chiunque desideri un soggiorno all'insegna del comfort, della pulizia e dell'ospitalità eccellente.

今回はハネムーンでの宿泊で最高の思い出を残したかったので、ハネムーンでの利用と高層で景色がよい部屋をリクエストしたところ、7階のプールと海が真正面に見えるお部屋をご用意頂いたのに加え、素敵なスイーツのプレートとお祝いのカードをご用意頂き感動しました。 お部屋館内至る所清潔で管理が行き届いており、とても気持ちよく滞在できました。部屋のアメニティは必要最小限可もなく不可もなしなので⭐︎4 朝食の種類は品数多く、毎日少しずつ内容が違った為飽きる事なく楽しめました！ マルタに来た際はウェスティンに滞在する事をオススメします！

Nice location if one is looking for a seaside holiday. Quiet, peaceful with lovely views of the sea. If one is looking for a location that is easy to travel around, then staying at Valletta might be more convenient as the bus and main ferry terminal is situated there. However, if one is touring by car / taxi then the consideration where the bus terminal is would be less important. Filling breakfast (though it doesn’t vary very much from day to day) and serves its function of filling one up for the start of the day! Rooms are neat and tidy, some areas show wear and tear but does not affect the overall functionality of the room. Good and clean comfy beds. Excellent service by the hotel staff who made the stay enjoyable. We unfortunately had an accident with the sliding bathroom door but the hotel staff did their best to make the rest of our stay as worry-free as possible.

Staying at Cavalieri Art Hotel in Malta was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with warmth and sophistication. The room boasted stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, and its modern amenities ensured a comfortable stay. The hotel's location, nestled along the coast of St. Julian's Bay, provided easy access to both cultural attractions and vibrant nightlife. The staff's hospitality surpassed expectations, catering to every need with a smile. My first experience in Malta was made unforgettable by Cavalieri Art Hotel – a true gem!!

I visit Malta frequently but this is my fist time at the Marriott and I am staying here as I write this. I don’t normally write such lengthy reviews! Serious investment has been put into the hotel building and facilities and the quality clearly reflects this, but it is the staff who clearly stand out and make the stay for guests so enjoyable. It’s not perfect, but the bar is set very high here. At a time where the hospitality Industry is having recruitment issues it makes the level of service even more impressive. The staff everywhere are incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. Their recruitment and staff development/ training and retention model obviously works extremely well. The only negative issue I had in the whole visit was not caused by the hotel, but by a ‘chocolate ice cream’ incident late one night on the main terrace. I felt for the staff as they clearly aim for the highest of standards and when things are beyond their control and spoil things, it must be so frustrating. I do thank Alex his team for trying to resolve the issue. They were first rate. Reception An area I feel can spoil a hotel. It certainly did for me at a recent stay in a Meliá hotel where staff were too corporate, too unhelpful and too impersonal. Not here! The welcome and care were exemplary. Bars Excellent service and quality. Lovely settings. Again, staff could not be better. Pool The 12th floor pool is the only negative as it is too small for a hotel of this size. The new pool area. which looks almost complete and extremely impressive, will make a huge and positive difference to the hotel. However we still enjoyed the pool area and the drinks and meals were very good. Staff extremely helpful Rooms We stayed in a suite and it was immaculate, comfortable and very relaxing. Room service and cleaning were first class. Lovely staff once again. M Lounge/Room I’m not sure what I’ve paid to have access so cavy Comment on whether it’s worth it or not ,but it’s been a very very pleasant experience. Breakfast in there is perfect for me. Quiet, peaceful, lovely views and amazing staff. Being able to call in during the day to cool off and enjoy some evening drinks is very enjoyable. Staff could not be better. Snacks on an evening are varied, delicious and really well presented. In comparison I usually stay at IHG due to points etc but have been lucky to now receive corporate rates at Marriott. I visit Malta regularly and would usually stay at the Palace - I am due to stay there again shortly so it will be interesting to compare. I have visited the Phoenecian and it’s beautiful and is a similar price range really . It’s stunning but I think I prefer the atmosphere here. I think the Marriott is the stand out hotel for me and I will be switching loyalty programmes I think because of this hotel. I do love the Palace because of it’s location and overall quality, but think I will probably by choosing the Marriott in future
