몰타에 또 오고싶을만큼 좋았어요~ 럭셔리베이 룸은 거실&침실로 호텔 안쪽 조용한 곳에 위치하고 있으며 바다랑 아주 가까워서 언제든 문을 열어두면 파도소리를 들을 수 있어요. 사진이나 영상으로 소개된 것보다 실제 방이 더 만족스럽고 뷰도 좋았습니다. 조식도 1층 레스토랑의 음식들도 맛있었고 직원들 모두 친절하셨습니다.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Trying to escape the festa of St Julian's we took a room facing the marina (thinking we'd avoid the pool screams and any other party noise). Unfortunately, marina king rooms are located right above jacuzzi rooms apparently frequented by families with small kids who enjoy a good splashing time morning or night. The loud persistent jacuzzi bubbling and the lack of sound isolation from the rooms below were definitely an unwelcome/major downside. Other bits that changed since the previous stays: The AC has a very delayed action - takes for it a while to turn on. The WIFI connection was bad (slow and irregular). The fridge door did not close/open properly. It seems that the hotel has changed the mattresses - they used to be more comfortable to sleep on (now on the harder side).

At the Marriott, Atrio Bistro we met for the Summer Sunday Lunch Roast. An awesome experience thanks to Marta's help and her team. We have been suggested the private room and have been very pleased with the hospitality. There's a vast selection of wines, their anti-pasto is exquisite and the pasta is delicious. The selection of meat from the Carvery table served by the helpful Chef is mouth watering and we hardly had space for our desert. Excellent value for money and service with a smile throughout. Would surely recommend this restaurant for special occasions or group gathering, enjoying the beautiful Balluta Bay views, the exquisite food and the service with a smile.

We stayed here for a last minute break away for our anniversary. When we got dropped off the location was in a busy street late at night on a Saturday. When we arrived at the hotel we were expected being the last arrival of the day. Check in was very efficient and the reception doubled up as a bar. The room was very spacious and very clean, with a nice big double bed, ac, TV, safe, kettle, fridge and storage. The balcony was street facing which was small but enough for 2 and ideal for the hubby who smokes. The bathroom was again very spacious and very clean we had a nice walk in shower and the water pressure was also very good. We realised in the morning we were in the midst of a town with lots of construction but the noise could not be heard if the windows were shut. Due to this the AC was needed which is the only thing I can fault. Due to this being controlled by a panel on the wall by the entrance but no remote was available to control therefore had a disturbed sleep to change temp or switch on or off.

When we arrived for check in we had problems with the booking as we was given the wrong room type by the supplier as we booked partial sea view room and we was checked into elegant non balcony room. The room was not what was expecting and we was disappointed and it ruined our stay at the hotel and the hotel was fully booked so we couldnt switch to the room we payed for. But we did get alot of help from Theo who worked in the reservations department. He tryed his best to accommodate us to the right room he was very friendly and polite and kept us updated all the time on the process, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked, Though it wasent the hotels fault it was trip.com/expedia he offered breakfast for free during our whole stay at the hotel as a consultation for all the hassle during the stay. Trip.com did offer to reimburse the money we had lost paying for the pricer room type while we was staying in a lower cost room, but we was disappointed in the compensation trip.com offered us and this ruined our whole holiday. And apparently this has happened on many occasions to other guests so my suggestion is the definately call the hotel of your booking agency to confirm your room. Excellent hotel and facilities. Food and drink choices excellent. Special thanks to Brian on concierge who was outstanding help making arrangements for trips and local knowledge. Overall 10/10 and we will definitely come back again soon.

Very nice hotel with great customer service. Dealt with Malcolm and other than speaking 3 to 4 languages he’s capable and pleasant to deal with. I suggest getting into the club since it has a nice breakfast selection and aperitif. I imagined a better experience in the rooftop restaurant but the best thing they have is the view.

Excellent staff / service, couldn’t have asked for more. Food: breakfast and pool bar menu was amazing! We ate lunch here every day because it was great. Room was great - I would pay extra for a room with a balcony though otherwise you don’t have a proper window with a view of the outside world. Would stay here again for the roof top pool - always a sunbed available! Air con was 10/10 all over the hotel which is something I find to be lacking in other hotels. 10/10 location for the beach, the bay, shopping or the night club *****.

No Matter of the location, service, cleanliness or amenities, there are all good for travelers, even the lobby is convenient for customs to stay whatever for waiting for someone or plan their next steps because on display desks have a lot of useful tour guide brochures and leaflets, this is a very worth recommended hotel.
