The Ark Stanley Luxury Bed and Breakfast

My wife and I stayed the one night after arriving late in the afternoon. We had the Admiral room at the front of the house. The bed was so comfortable and had the best pillows. Room was quite large and airy and the en-suite had just been renovated (by the looks). The house is in walking distance of the town centre. The hosts are lovely people very friendly who came and did a cooked breakfast for the guests staying. Overall a very positive and pleasant stay and we would certainly come back again

From the first phone call to Rhonda this booking was perfect ! She gave me details on the best rooms for 2 couples who were booking in for a single night stay. On the day of our arrival she contacted me and asked if we had made arrangements for dinner as the pub was usually booked out, so we promptly made the booking. On arrival we were so happy with our accommodation. It had a fabulous view, was immaculately clean with some Tim Tams to have with a cup of tea or coffee from the coffee machine in the room. Rhonda and Christer make their own yogurt, jams chutneys and bread to serve at breakfast and they are like a well oiled machine. He does the coffees, serves the dishes and chats to the guests while Rhonda makes the breakfasts. Chair lift to the Nut for a great walk which I definitely recommend. Penguin platform visit to see the penguins arrive in for the night which I definitely recommend. The area around the platform is lit with red bulbs so you can see them clearly. (we attended around 9pm as they arrived) There were so many of them in the graveyard so if you hear any noises you know what it is lol. The Stanley pub does great meals so we are pleased we booked as every table was reserved on arrival. We also bought some cheese and lollies at the corner store (sour dough bread under $8.00 and it was lovely) We will definitely return to this lovely place
