Cari Hotel 2-Star di Lanzhou

This is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators. Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back. As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers! One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best! Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)

Central location with restaurants and buzzing streets all around. Luckily the hotel is on a side street, so the noise is not that bad. Nights are quiet and on days you mostly hear cars honking in the distance and occasional garbage trucks driving through. The room was clean and modern looking, albeit a little cramped. Otherwise the place left a slightly weird feeling. Other reviews have mentioned single-use towels and paper cups, but I also noticed that there was no tea or coffee provided to the guest. The bed matress wasn't that comfortable either. It seems like the place tries to cut costs at every corner, yet the price is higher than in similar budget establishments. It could be that you are paying purely for the location.

這家酒店是我旅遊以來住的性價比最高的酒店，一百多就可以住在市中心，樓下就是馬安軍辣子牛肉麪，旁邊就是美食商業街，蘭州中心，甘肅省博物館，離公交站和地鐵站都非常近，出行非常方便，老闆的態度也很好，至於其他評論説的情況，我覺得這個要見仁見智，如果對酒店要求高的，可以去住四五百一晚的，這個酒店就一百多一晚，還要啥自行車，如果是出來玩，住酒店衹是為了過夜，沒有其他的額外需求的話，我非常推薦這家酒店

I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. 房間是在一個小區裏，出入都需要門禁卡，所以安全問題不用太擔心。房東姐姐很熱情，房間裏光線很好，床單被罩都很乾凈，而且花樣很家常（莫名安心），房間非常安靜，外賣也可以送到門口，十分便利。總體來説，性價比很高，推薦！

Very great for a short stay, highly recommended if you want to stay in the heart of Lanzhou. The room was nice and modern - we got the discount room, and it served us well. The only complaint about was the layout of the room because it was a little cramped ans the room was on a curved corner. The other strange thing was the utility room door which had access in our room, but it was not so obtrusive except for a the sounds of some computer machinery at some points in the day time. The laundry machine was very effective and the projector tv was great.

酒店臨近蘭州火車站，步行5分鐘左右可達，地鐵公交站台就在附近，出行十分方便，房間乾淨整潔，無異味，整體衞生狀況良好，前台服務熱情周到，有問必答，還能免費升級房間、提供寄存行李等服務，性價比高，加強衞生清潔細節，提升隔音效果就更完美了！加油！

*If you are going to Lanzhou …* … this is the hotel to stay especially if you are an independent traveller! Even before arrival we reached out to Li and she promptly promised to send a car to meet us upon arrival at Langzhouxi. The Tumendun metro station is right in front of the hotel. So is the bus stop which serves buses running to several Lanzhou attractions. Aside from the obvious locational advantages the thing that strikes me most is the warmth and hospitality of the family running the place. Everyone from father, mother, 2 sons to DIL was eager to help with any questions that we might have. We couldn’t believe how patient they were in providing invaluable insights for the benefit of the tourist. The room and bathroom were kept clean. Hot and cold water were readily available as well as a kettle. We are grateful and would like to thank the whole family for treating us like family during our short stay here!

The place was quite ok for it's price. Host was very hospitable, even I arrived late.
