We booked Mia Terra expecting a hotel — but it turned out to be more of a one-man bed and breakfast. From the start, nothing went smoothly. We had decided to take up the host’s offer of an airport shuttle (not cheap), as one of us only had one evening in Palermo and every minute counted. The shuttle arrived 15 minutes late, and when we finally reached the property, no one was there to check us in, causing yet another delay — even though the host had personally arranged our transport and knew our arrival time. The host then offered excuses that didn’t line up with the shuttle driver’s story (which btw, the driver didn’t even know our destination — we had to guide him — and only accepted cash, which we weren’t told in advance.)
Check-in was confusing and disorganized. Despite several text messages from the host to confirm our room setup (which should have been clear from the booking), he had still assigned the wrong rooms and once again found excuses, incorrectly blaming the booking platform. When we asked him to fix it, he was reluctant but eventually agreed — behaving as if he were doing us a favor — though he did offer free breakfast as compensation, which we didn’t need.
Since there is no staff at the property. The host promised to respond to messages “within minutes,” yet replies often took hours. The whole experience felt like a single person trying to run a hotel alone — and it shows.
To be fair, the rooms were clean and comfortable, although in one of them, the shower faced the bedroom through a glass wall, so you had to shower in the dark for privacy.
Overall, the service and professionalism fell far short of hotel standards. If you’re expecting the reliability of an actual hotel, look elsewhere.

PPengguna TetamuLoved this hotel. It was beautifully appointed and the breakfast was lovely. The rooms were well designed and it was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in!
The location was perfect. Right around the corner from streets with lots of restaurants and an easy walk to local attractions. The Teatro Massimo was right across the street and was my favourite thing to visit.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again although there are some stairs to get up to reception but there is a lift part way from the ground floor for those with mobility issues.
Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a gem of a place!

PPengguna TetamuTHIS WAS THE BEST CHOICE I DID IN SICILY.
First, this is the cleanest place I saw in my trip. They ask you every morning if you want a cleaning when they bring you breakfast. The bathroom/shower room is modern and same as the picture. The body soap, shampoo, conditioner was a Sicily one that was very nice of them. The public space was so good, they had balcony so it would be great to take pictures for instagram.
Secondly, the breakfast. Insanely great. You can choose 2 things from about 15 types of dishes such as sandwiches or yogurt or fruits. For drink you can pick 1 from about 15 types such as cappuccino or hot chocolate. They have milk choices like oat milk and almond milk that is amazing in this price. For spread, you can choose 2 from about 10 types such as honey or Nutella or almond butter or many flavors of jam. For a dessert, you can choose a cake from 2 or 3 types they have that day. You can choose where you want to eat room or public space.
Thirdly, the staffs were a lot more kind and friendly then the average of sicily.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel was not obvious for us - when we arrived, we drove around for about 10 minutes looking for a sign before parking on the wrong side of the road, and having to call for instructions. It was our fault, as the hotel tried contacting us earlier in the day but we did not have signal to take the call. Once we were instructed to the right place, it was super straightforward as Gianluca buzzed us in remotely, and upon verifying ID, let us into the unit and our bedroom. The lift in the building was super cool - for this experience alone I recommend staying in this hotel.
The room was charming. Our previous hotel was a suite so this felt a bit small, but it was homely all the same. The small downside was how warm it felt in the room. The air conditioning wouldn't work with the windows open, but it wasn't running very strong. At night, we preferred keeping the window open for some fresh air instead. The poster bed added a quaint and romantic feel to the room, and we were absolutely spoilt with a surprise of a bottle of Prosecco as a gift! Of course, the highlight of the whole place was the jacuzzi in the bathroom. As we both had to do some work and also were tired from a road trip, all of these little touches made the stay in this hotel incredibly luxurious for us. I really recommend this place for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon.

KKate CoddaireGreat location a 15 min walk from central train station and on the waterfront. You do have to walk 10+ minutes to get to restaurants and 15+ min to the historic city center. Staff were great, taxi stand at the hotel was super convenient as was the hop on hop off and other bus stops right there. Great views of the mountains and seaside. Pool opens May 1 but you can sit poolside and enjoy the fresh air and greenery surrounding the pool. Terrific restaurant and attentive wait staff. Room was generously sized and super clean. Across street from relaxing green spaces: Villa Giulia ( free park) and Botanical Garden (7 euros)

PPengguna Tanpa NamaWe chose the old style room in the small paradise villa. Sergio greeted us warmly and our stay was very good and quiet. The villa is very close to the centre, you do need the car to get into the city but if needed you can easily get food delivered from the city. The room is a bit dark but we had everything we needed at a very good price. After checking out we were told we could still use the pool till the end of the day. Nice place to get away from the city's noise.

HHerbandrew24Hotel datato da rimodernare in tutto. A partire dagli infissi, le serrande, i rubinetti (miscelatori con le manopole)… in camera, nonostante il divieto di fumo, c’era puzza di sigarette. Colazione con poca varietà: brioscine sottoforma di tante cose, ma sempre di brioscine si parlava.
La tassa di soggiorno non è di €4 a notte a porzione come indicato sul sito, ma di €4,50.
