Used this as an overnight stay from Kynsna before the airport . It was in a beautiful setting and we had a delightful loft room which was very large with a kitchen and seating area . Because it was a loft space the shower was a hand held device as opposed a normal shower . The surroundings were lovely and it was very secure

It´s a very nice located hotel, absolutely friendly staff. It was our first stay in this house, The breakfast is in a good quality, if you want to visit stellenbosch, its easy with the drivers of uber.

I stayed at Weltevreden Estate 2 weeks ago while I was in Stellenbosh for a wedding. To say it exceeded my expectations was an understatement! The place is stunning; my room was palatial and incredibly good value for money and the staff were lovely and could not have done more for me. The wine and food were excellent. I could not recommend this place more!

Great Location, beautiful buildings and a great setting, would definitely visit again. The room we stayed in was excellent with a lovely lounge adjacent to our room. Breakfast was included so the stay was very good value

A beautiful place to stay in the heart of the wine producing area of Stellenbosch. Convenient for visiting the centre and vineyards. We had excellent advice and help from Melissa and her team, Precious was so helpful to us organising a special meal which was a fantastic experience. A wonderful place to relax after a long trip from the UK.

On our honeymoon, we just arrived The property is closed cause of a management meeting… no wine no bar no restaurant and NOBODY informed us…. Already 3,5 week in SA and we booked weltevreden for The wine and property… tooooooo bad!!!!!!! Good luck with your meeting maybe put in your agenda to INFORM guests that everything is Closed!!

We opted for the larger room, and it was incredible. It was comfortable and clean, everything worked well (especially the air con on those hot days). The estate itself is breath taking and there are quite a few different feathered and furry friends that live on the property. The staff were the highlight of the experience; very friendly, interactive and helpful. Some things to note when booking: 1. the tap water isn’t for drinking, housekeeping restock smaller water bottles daily and you can purchase more at the restaurant or at a grocery store in town. 2. the estate’s restaurant / bar shuts at 5pm everyday, if you aren’t hiring a car then Uber eats is available.

Amazing beautiful place on magnificent grounds. It was quite disorganized when we arrived, but this was soon rectified. The staff were extremely accommodating down to my being restricted to gluten & lactose free products. The staff have a lot to learn, but highly respected our feedback, patience and input.

The hotel look pretty from the outside but the rooms was tiny and the aircon did not work there was no reception to contact with regards to this it was 40 degrees and very unpleasant. The breakfast was good but apart from that very average stay and no comms to contact anyone for assistance par from security.
