Shaba Boutique Hotel

Great authentic place with everything you need for your trip. Lovely room with good breakfast. The place and the room were very clean. The personnel was very kind and helpful. Very welcoming place. Clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The hotel perfect for a few days stay in Stone Town. The location was perfect. The rooms were suitable and the staff were amazing and helpful. Especially Hamed, nothing was too much when asked. Just to note that the travel from the taxi to the hotel is about 5-7min walk as they are unable to drive directly to the hotel.

The room is most authentically decorated I have ever seen. The beauty is in every detail of this boutique hotel, in each decor piece. Prime location in the heart of Stone Town. Such a lovely personnel and friendly service. Diverse and hearty breakfast.

We enjoyed everything about our short stay at Shaba. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful- we had a mix up at booking (my fault) and they worked hard to find solutions. We also liked that the hotel was in an area of Stone Town that while convenient to everything, was a little away from the more tourist area so felt more real, less polished than other parts of town. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed sitting on the street outside the hotel with coffee and watching the street life of Stone Town. The only small downside is because it's in a tight part of the city, the balconies did not look out on anything but tin roofs (at least our room- I think some rooms have nice balconies).

Wonderful small hotel in Stone Town with nice atmosphere and great breakfast buffet with both local and international food. Very comfortable rooms with a local touch. AC and bathroom are top-notch. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Fun rooms, clean, great breakfast and very accommodating staff. They let us stay in the hotel late and kept our bags for the day for free since our flight wasn’t until 11 At night. You have to walk a bit from where the taxi drops you off but it’s a short, safe and easy walk to get there.
