Shaba Boutique Hotel

Perfect location - beautiful Hotel and very friendly Staff. The Hotel Management was fantastic and the breakdast was delicious. I can recommend this Hotel for everyone. It is very quiet, has a beautiful Interior and offers a super Price. A Special extra is tea and water for free.

The hotel is nicely decorated and the room we had spacious with separate sleeping rooms for us and the children. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff superfriendly. The location is not the best of the best but close to top places. Further, the booking process did not go smoothly as we were told a number of times that no rooms were available while the app showed there were rooms. Lastly, the noises in the night from the street were quite disturbing.

The hotel perfect for a few days stay in Stone Town. The location was perfect. The rooms were suitable and the staff were amazing and helpful. Especially Hamed, nothing was too much when asked. Just to note that the travel from the taxi to the hotel is about 5-7min walk as they are unable to drive directly to the hotel.

Bianca is amazing. It's so refreshing and reassuring to meet strong, smart and caring women. She helped me figure out at what time in the early morning I needed to be at the airport, gave my driver clear instructions and she ensured that at 2 am I would have a packaged breakfast I could carry through security. I felt cared for and calm. Thanks Bianca!

We enjoyed everything about our short stay at Shaba. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful- we had a mix up at booking (my fault) and they worked hard to find solutions. We also liked that the hotel was in an area of Stone Town that while convenient to everything, was a little away from the more tourist area so felt more real, less polished than other parts of town. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed sitting on the street outside the hotel with coffee and watching the street life of Stone Town. The only small downside is because it's in a tight part of the city, the balconies did not look out on anything but tin roofs (at least our room- I think some rooms have nice balconies).

A lot of attention was paid to the decoration; looked great! No room is the same. Super to come across such a top location in the middle of Stone town. Everything is walking distance (Nightmarket/boulevard, Freddy Murcery Museum, etc.) Super friendly and helpful staff.
