Stayed two nights as part of a week on Zanzibar. Zanzibar Palace Hotel was perfect for exploring Stone Town and the nearby sights. Daniela (owner/manager) was helpful in allowing us to check in early (bag storage) and enable us to enjoy exploring the area without worry about our bags being in the vehicle. The guest room was small, but comfortable. The a/c and wifi worked well. Laundry was handled quickly and at a reasonable price. The hotel accepts credit cards which is always a plus when on extended travel. The restaurant turns out good meals and offers a good selection. We recommend this hotel.

BEYT AL SALAAM was superb. Aminia and team were the nicest people we have met. There kind assistance with all our plans and excursions made our holiday truly unforgettable. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A large comfortable bed with chrisp white linen and very comfortable pillows. It had an airconditioner, ceiling fan, tv and tea and coffee facilities. A nice indoor swimming pool TRULY A GEM. Thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.

Our stay at Dhow Palace in Stone Town, Zanzibar, was absolutely breathtaking! Although we only had one day there, I made the most of it and wished we had more time to enjoy this incredible place. The pool was out of this world, offering a perfect place to relax and unwind. The restaurant was fantastic, serving delicious food, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I have a core memory of reading by the pool (feet in) while drinking some incredible chai and having lunch. The location was ideal, close to everything we wanted to see and do in Stone Town. Dhow Palace is truly one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, and I would love to return for a longer visit.

Stayed two nights – I was a walk-in after the place I had booked turned out to be unacceptable. Great location in the center of Stone Town. Price on the high side for the local standard. The property is attractive and reasonably well maintained. Some noise from the inner courtyard, but it generally quiets down after hours. The room was clean and had a kitchenette. Amenities included an electric kettle and a bottle of drinking water. Overall comfortable bed and pillows (mattress a little too soft for my taste). Mosquito nets around bed. Light switch and power outlets near the bed. Bathroom with everything in working order. Shower with good water pressure (a rarity in East Africa) and hot water. Wifi worked reasonably well, apart from logging you out after a short period of inactivity and requiring repeat log ins. Breakfast with reasonable selection. Overall a good stay.
