Road work problem one way round . All cleaning and good service Menu for dinner two courses first night then second night repeat same menu disappointment , change different bar menu but charge £39 . We already booked dinner including with cost still we had to pay extra charge for second nights . Disability access is very limited . Our bedroom downstairs have a lot of steps no doubt they are awareness of deafness if fire alarm how let us know we are downstairs Spa are excellent facilities

It was just ok and didn't feel that luxurious considering the price point.

The service was great! There was an error with room allocation and as the booked room was not available, we got upgraded to a suite which was wonderful as we were celebrating a special milestone birthday. The dinner at the Trevellyn Restaurant was beyond expectation as we were vegetarian and the vegetarian meal prepared by the chef was awesome. The hotel decor itself looked a little tired although it added to the authentic look of the listed building. It was a hot weekend during our stay and although there was no air conditioning, a small fan was provided which made a little difference when sleeping at night. The gardens needed some upkeep and it would have been lovely if the fountains had been working. Overall we did enjoy our stay and look forward to coming back again after it has gone through some upgrading and refurbishing.

We were thrilled and amazed by how pretty the hotel and landscapig were. Staff were very friendly and services from checking in to dining were excellent. With special thanks to Alisa, she had made our stay unforgettable.

The hotel was nice and clean and the evening meal was fantastic. Only issue was pool was closed on day one and when it reopened the water was to cold to use it.

the pool was shut which was the only reason we came for my boyfriends 20th then we ended up leaving at 11pm as the tv turned on and off by itself and was strange noises we had drove 3 hours to get here aswell absolute waste of time money and ruined his birthday

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are lovely, the hotel beautiful. The grounds and views fabulous. The spa and pool an added bonus which we made good use of.

Second time here, we returned to have a garden view to enhance our experience. We booked a garden view on ******* arrived and no garden view? this was down to *******! The staff went above and beyond to alleviate our initial disappointment. We had a great experience, lovely setting and wonderful staff, shame about the view.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The spa was excellent and the staff were very helpful [and resolved an unforeseen issue that arose]. Yes, there are roadworks on the road outside the hotel which can make getting to it difficult, but that isn't on the hotel. There is a bit of wear and tear. The lights in the room were a bit confusing. Breakfast was decent though the plates were on the small side.

We stayed in an apartment. It was big with three double bedrooms, a lounge, dining area and kitchen, plus two bathrooms. We are a family of four and plenty of room for teenagers. Apartment was clean, but not spotless. Good underfloor heating and good comfy beds. Linen and towels all clean and fresh.

Lovely hotel and grounds. First visit and only stayed one night but will be back. Hotel was good value and enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast. Would appreciate lit signage at the hotel entrance (from both directions). We arrived at night, in the rain and a busy road so loads of oncoming car headlights. This made seeing the turn-off difficult. There is a lit sign for the golf club and chalets.
