Hotel Della Torre

We stayed at the family room with 4 full size beds, which worked well with our teenagers. The service was very friendly, breakfast plentiful and we loved the large pool. Location a little bit away from the centre, but still walkable (ca. 20 mins. walk) and close to the ferry going to Isola Bella and other islands. Price-quality ratio very good with this. Could definately stay here again if going back to Lake Maggiore.

Last minute booking as all flights were cancelled out of Italy / found this hotel for the 5 days extra holiday. This made the already perfect holiday in Milan and Lake Garda - even better. We would recommend this hotel to anyone - staff food amenities faultless,

The property was in a good area and the staff were warm, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good as was the evening meal. It was excellent value for money.

A lovely family hotel. Our room overlooked the lake. Dinner was excellent value for money as was breakfast on the half board deal. Pool was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was fine. Location was fine for us. 25 minute walk from centre but bar by the lake was excellent. Road did not keep us a wake but it was not that quiet: The view though was breathtaking. Excellent value for money.

We had a great week at Hotel Della Torre. The hotel was lovely and traditional, with attentive and friendly staff, good food choices at breakfast and dinner. Our room was spotless and it was wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony with views of the lake and mountains. Stresa is a lovely resort with lakeside walks and a nice old town. The ferry was a five minute walk from the hotel with access to the Borromean Islands which were unique and very interesting. One day we caught the service bus to Orta which is beautiful. Reception gave us the bus timetable and we caught the bus from the stand around the corner from the hotel. A bargain day out at approximately 4€ each way.

Very nice pool and breakfast buffet. The air conditioning, was however, not very robust. Located in close proximity to the docks for boat rides to the islands and stroll along the waterfront.

Our flight home was cancelled last Sunday and our option was to stay in Italy for another 4 days - by chance we found Hotel Della Torre! Everything was fantastic especially the staff (Emilio and Constantino) there was nothing negative about the hotel, Stresa and Italy. Only regret was having to leave!!

We were booked originally to go to the Hotel Beau Rivage in Baveno down the road but for whatever reason, TUI relocated us to this hotel in the larger town of Stresa down the road. Having been to the Beau Rivage before we were a little apprehensive when we arrived but we needn't have been. From the get go we were greeted in a friendly welcoming manner and an issue with the safe in our room was dealt with promptly. The room itself was clean and in a good state of décor. The bed was comfortable and there was a small but functional balcony with a pleasant view. We were on the third floor which is serviced by either a lift or stairs. We were booked for half board so had a chance to sample the food. The breakfast is a buffet affair with a good selection of both hot and cold food. Tea coffee and fruit juice as per the norm. Evening meal is a 4 course affair with the anti pasti being a buffet affair and the next 2 courses had a choice of three selections broken into 1 meat, 1 fish and one vegan respectively. Dessert was the chef's choice of the day. We didn't have a bad meal for the week we were staying. Drinks are ordered with and during your meal and you settle the tab at the end of your stay. The hotel has a pool also and an outdoor dining area but this doesn't open till June so was closed for the duration of our stay. Stresa town centre is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We found the best way was to walk down to the lakeside and have a scenic walk along the side of the lake. There is a navigation terminal here but it only goes to the islands. For anywhere else you have to walk to the port in Stresa. In conclusion, an lovely small hotel not too far from the main area of the town.

The property was great, as were the staff and the included breakfast. It was within walking distance of the train station and the waterfront and ferries. A great choicest a good price. Best of our trip.
