Surfers Mayfair

Overall very nice property, excellent location, amenities, secured parking etc. The biggest problem was unavailability of WiFi (paid or free both). I even signed up with a local service provider @Freedom as recommended by the Hotel but it wasn’t working with mobile phones & other devices due to the problems with building router. The flat TVs in the lounge & bedroom were not smart and wouldn’t connect to Netflix or similar services. Otherwise recommended for the short or longer stays with the family.

Usually I'd prefer to go with positive reviews, but I just can't with Surfers Mayfair. My partner and I booked to stay here for a week, we booked a 1 bedroom apar**ent. I believe we were given a 3 bedroom apar**ent and the other 2 bedrooms were locked. The location of this apar**ent block is pretty good, but everything about the apar**ent was terrible. Our first sign of things would be rough was the fact the garden/that block is very overgrown. Once we arrived inside the apar**ent - the floor was so dirty, our feet ended up black within a few minutes of walking around and there was no broom to clean it up, the mop had a sponge on the bottom of it, though it was completely dirty and it was broken and there was no replacement. There were tabs from cans all over the entire apar**ent, bedroom, bathroom, loungeroom, even in the gaps of the lounge and on the balcony. The balcony also had an ashtray with cigarette butts inside it, we could still smell the smoke from it. My partner and I are non smokers so we chose a non smoking apar**ent. The air conditioning had mould inside it. Within 1 hour of being inside this apar**ent, my partner had started to break out in a rash on his leg and the railing for the balcony was not steady at all, I'm surprised it didn't break away when I looked over the balcony. When we pulled the cover back from the bed, there was heaps of dirt, dust and sand inside the bed and the towels offered on the end of the bed were covered in dust. We used our hand and wiped over the kitchen bench top and it was covered in dust, even the lounge was dirty. Inside the walk in wardrobe, at the bottom, the wood looks like it has been eaten by rats. Inside the bathroom - the shower was dirty, as though it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if not months, and after flushing the toilet, we realised water was coming out the back of it, causing a small river of water to from the toilet down to the drain. It was like the apar**ent hadn't been used in months and definitely not cleaned. Surfers Mayfair is advertised as a 4 star holiday/rental apar**ents - this is complete rubbish, I'd peg it at 1 star, maybe 2 if pushed. I will never book here again and I would recommend anyone looking to stay here - don't. We have a hotel/apar**ent we usually stay at but we gave Surfers Mayfair the benefit of doubt and it bit us on the backside, I wish I had researched more and found the not so good reviews. Fortunately the following day we had received a phone call for a family emergency so we had to check out the next day, I was hoping that they would refund the nights we were not there, but it's been complete radio silence from them since we checked out the following day, and now I am in touch with the ombudsman for advice. We also took photo's and video to back this review.

A very spacious apar**ent, great value for money. Great location, beautiful area and close to everything. Was perfect for my family. Parking was excellent and service was excellent also. Only issue was couch was a bit dirty, found old popsicle stick and dirt in between cushions and kids were looking forward to using the spa bath but didnt as it was dirty and had grime all around. Balcony was huge and we had a view of the river and partially of the ocean. Very pleasant. Overall we loved the place and would return in the future

Was a lot more than we expected for the price. Very roomy apar**ent. Good view, 2 big bathrooms. Will stay there again.

Reception staff very helpful and friendly. The room layout was wonderful and spacious with everything we could want for a reasonable price. Unfortunately we had to kill a few roaches while we were there and the room was generally a little run-down. Air conditioner was not in a usable condition so thankfully we didn’t feel the need to turn it on. Please note that there was a number of works going on while I stayed such as repainting and laying new carpet so things may improve in short order.

The apar**ent was huge for the price. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

在之前的周末我們已經核對過入住40號公寓了，但是我們去的時候卻被告知一個員工在我們前面正在確定房間是否能入住。當我們到達的時候，地板非常臟，極度需要真空吸塵器進行清掃，鏡子沾滿了污漬，冰箱和廚房的抽屜里竟然有食物的殘渣，烤麵包機上滿是碎屑，烘乾機上的棉絨過濾器裏面是滿的，這是火災的隱患，沙發散發出惡臭味而且已經褪色了，牆紙開始從牆上脫落，浴室里配件腐蝕嚴重，一些戶外傢具也生鏽了，急需維修。
