Outstanding stay, nothing could be faulted. Alan is a fantastic front of house, funny, helpful and kind, we didn't see Charlene but she did such a wonderful breakfast so thanks to her too! They clearly both work very hard, despite 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats as the place is spotless and beautifully decorated, awash with their personality. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now! Breakfast was great with local quality produce.

This Bed and Breakfast Place is well situated, a short walk to the beach, a family run place, nothing too kitchen trouble, Charlene and Alan who run the Bed and Breakfast are too super people who will go the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable, their children are polite and helpful too. New seating Area outside and free parking.

A great place to stay in Swanage. Nothing tired about this lovely hotel. Everything spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. An amazing breakfast perfectly cooked with top notch produce. All served up with Alan's witty repartee and his cheery smile.

A traditional clean and tidy B&B. Alan is a very genial host. Having parking on-site is an asset. It is a short walk down the hill to the beach and about 20 minutes walk to the centre. Breakfast choices need to be made the night before, but the food was freshly cooked and of high quality. Many of the guests return year after year. The sink in our bathroom was rather small, but the shower was a good size. In common with most B&Bs there is no lift.

The perfect B&B to finish the Southwest Coastal Path at. Brilliant host with a great sense of humour! Nothing too much trouble & with a wealth of knowledge. Comfy, spacious room, with fantastic shower. Breakfast, particularly the black pudding was delicious! Couldn't wish for more. Thank you.

We had a school trip to the Jurassic Coast with 8 Lower Sixth students. Staying at the Rookery was the perfect location. We were able to access all the keys sites within 10-30 minutes each day. In the evening we were able to pop down to the beach - 2 min walk away. Alan and Charlene could not have done enough for all of us. Changing menus to suit fussy teenagers to dropping forgotten sandwiches to us at the beach!!! The rooms were spotless and spacious. Thank you for making us all feel very welcome and looked after. We will definitely be back.

Excellent location, close to beach and just outside town centre. Very comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully decorated room. Very friendly host able to advise on things to do and places to eat. Good breakfast with plenty of choice served in a pleasant dining room.

Stayed at Rookery during a rambling and cycling holiday with a group. Rookery delivers exactly what is promised and more. omsGood location in the north beach part of town. Good quality and size modern furnished ro. Good traditional english breakfast with limited continental choices. Family run. Communicative and very helpful host. Free parking. Bike friendly - host charged my e bike and stored it in a safe area, but does not have fully lockable facilities. Good value. Will stay again.
