Maui Palms

We stayed in the new apartment part of the resort. The room was nice - spacious and modern. Wasn't really a fan of having the TV at the head of the bed, as you could hear it in bed even with the volume down low. The AC vent is also directed at the head of the bed as well. We were on the main floor, so we were a bit concerned with privacy. There is privacy glass installed, but if you look really closely, you can still see a bit inside during the day; not sure if this is worse at night. We just kept the blinds closed the whole time. We had issues connecting to our wifi in the room. We also had problems with getting hot water. The resort staff was helpful and sent someone in to have a look right away, although we were never able to get any hot water ourselves. We had a cockroach problem in our room, found a couple our first night in the kitchen. The staff were good at addressing this and came by to spray the kitchen down the next morning. This worsened the problem as we came across many more that night in the kitchen and bathroom. The last straw was when I saw a cockroach on my daughter's toothbrush. We were then moved to the penthouse in the main part of the resort. I found the penthouse incredibly dated, and in need of repair (hardness on the tub drain prevented us from being able to drain the tub, shower base leaks, windows cracked) It is an incredibly large space, but the upstairs is wasted because there is no fan or air conditioning up there so it ends up being a sauna up there. The space is probably so under utilized which would explain the magazines from 2015 that I found up there. I think they should put air conditioning up there and perhaps convert some of that space in to more bedrooms. You also lose some of the amenities the apartment had in the penthouse such as the washing machine and dishwasher. The bed is comfortable, the shower isn't as nice as in the apartment, but at least we got hot water. Wifi signal much better than in the apartment. We only saw a couple of cockroaches in the penthouse, but we did end up having a mouse in the place too. Once again, resort staff were quick to respond. Not sure if they caught the mouse or not, but I did notice that they taped up the bottom of the doors. We had breakfast included. There isn't much variety on the menu, and I was hoping for more fruit and fresh juices. Room service is free, so that's a nice perk. There is a gym on site, I didn't go in so I can't comment on how equipped it is. There are 2 pools - one in the main resort and one at the apartment side. Not shallow enough for kids to play in though. The pools are both frequently cleaned by staff. The shoreline is not as picturesque as I was hoping, and you need water shoes, but there is lots of fish in the water and the water is fairly shallow. The coral is not very nice here. Some mosquitos, but not as bad as I thought. Avoid sitting outside at night and use mosquito repellent if sitting in the

We spent 3 days here at Maui Palm and it was absolutely wonderful. Starting from friendly staff members to well conditioned villa we stayed, we definitely recommend this place to people who would like to try coral coasts in Fiji. I went out for snorkelling with Dwai and other visitors and Dwai kindly showed us around where to snorkelling and explaining some marine life out there. We stayed at other resorts along the coast in the past few years but Maui Palm has got the best corals for snorkelling for sure. The gym facility was very nice too - got everything I needed. Special thanks to Dwai, Liti and Felix who were so friendly and making our stays more memorable!

We absolutely loved staying here. The fact that you step out of your room and walk a few metres to reach the ocean is fantastic. We booked this Boutique Resort especially for the fact that the shower was walk in without steps or over a bathtub. This was important for my elderly parents who stayed in villa 5. We occupied villa 6 and ocean breeze studio 3c. Like so many before us said.... the staff are what makes this place so friendly and beautiful. Thank you Leti, Andy, Tina, Va, Ben, Felix who held the Kava ceremony and D..... the man who cooked the Lovo for the Fijian Dinner. We come back one day.

50 in Fiji was an AMZING success, Maui Palms made us feel right at home! From the moment we were greeted till the moment we sadly said good bye! BEST holiday EVER! Andi, Liti, Felix, and Neel all were on their game, with a smile on their face every single time! We loved the dinner concept and the meals were just scrumptious, hot and tasty!!! The coral coast is like something out of fairytale book, blue star fish, nurse sharks, coral galore and array of different colored fish! I will be back! We feel as we have family there now! and we miss them so very much already!!!

We went to Maui Palms for the first time for our anniversary. We booked a regular room but were upgraded to beautiful romance villa. The staff were amazing and made our trip amazing. Neel kept in touch all the time via phone and made sure we had everything we needed. The seafood platter prepared by chef for our anniversary was delicious. We will definitely be back.

This place was wonderful! Our room was clean and very comfortable, staff was so friendly and helpful. Felix, one of the staff, was quite knowledgable and took us on a snorkling tour. At first I wasn't going to go because I thought I could see things well enough from the surface, but my husband encouraged me and I'm so glad I went. Beautfiful blue starfish, corral with bright blue tips, colorful fish and so much more, all off the shore of our room. If you're looking for a lovely, quiet place to go, Highly recommend Maui Palms. Delicious food is also on sight and if you don't want to eat in the restaurant, you can get it delivered to your room for no additional cost.

Excellent service and accomodation at this boutique hotel. The staff was excellent. Big thanks to Neel, Andi, Felix and Sonali for making us feel welcomed and at ease with their prompt attention to out needs. The food is Excellent and the a la carte menu was a nice touch instead of a buffet. We stay in a one bedroom beach view apartment that was spacious and beautiful. Some local restaurants near and a great spa called The Pink Spa. The beach is rocky but serves for great snorkeling. I suggest bringing reef shoes. I found the hotel rates reasonable. . It does not feel like you are at a hotel at times. That is because the staff don't pester you or over extend their services etc. I would stay here again with no issues nor concerns

Maui palms was the best decision ive made, i came for a wedding in naviti and wanted something more personal and i got that and more. The staff r top tier and so lovely,the food amazing! The pools r quiet and reef walk beautiful. Just go ! Il be bk for sure 😊

We loved this place. First of all the staff. They make you genuinely feel welcome, most even know you on first name basis. They were always around for a help, activities or just a friendly chat. The setting of the villa area is beautiful. The outside of the adjacent appartement building we liked less. The pool there is nice but too dominant and the lack of trees a minus for us. The food is nice and fresh. They ask you for your dinner choice quite cleverly during the day, hence you don‘t have to wait for your dinner. Our villa room was tasteful and clean.
