My wife and I just got back from staying at this location. We had a wonderful time and absolutely love the Cabanas. We stayed in #10 and had a great ocean view from the upper loft. The whole place is so lush and green! The owners are involved in the daily care of the guests and property and took wonderful care of us. They made our stay so comfortable. The property and services were incredible.

Rooms are cozy, staff is super friendly and accomodating (especially Trevor), and location was perfect - not too close to the beach, but far enough where we didn't hear noise. Our room was right by the pool and breakfast area, so we were set. Once you walk in, it feels like a jungle-like environment. You cannot go wronmg staying there!

The hotel is off the beaten path, quirky and a bit rough around the edges. That said, the owners are super hands on really endeavor to provide very gracious hospitality and it is a bit of a hidden oasis. Its more of a B&B than a hotel I would say. We stayed in bungalow #9. The outdoor space with private jacuzzi was excellent. Very private and secluded area. The room itself had uneven A/C between floors, but the main floor was blasting cold. At the price point, it is an excellent value.

The home-cooked breakfast every morning along with cereal, toast, juice, and coffee was very good. The environment is set up to allow for socializing with other travelers and staff. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The a/c works well, and you will definitely need it. The pool is refreshing with an outdoor shower to rinse your feet off from sand, ect. which is nice before returning to your room. The staff is friendly and responsive. We had an issue with the hot water in our room shower, and they were quick to address the issue. We were able to pay to get our laundry cleaned while we were here which was nice since our clothes were full of sand from the beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk away as well as the downtown area of Tamarindo with many restaurants, bars, and shopping stores. There are a few spots for parking (not a huge parking lot). We only rented a car for a few days and had no issues with parking. You might be startled by the sounds of howler monkeys in the night (it is the rainforest, after all) so bring ear plugs just in case 🤣.

The best thing about Tamarindo Village is Martha and Steve the owners Martha arranged tours for us and Steve arranged airport pick up and drop off Both were there if we needed anything The hotel is an oasis with greenery surrounding the suites for privacy Rm 2 was like being in a treehouse. It is round like a yurt and very roomy We adopted their kitty for the week. She was at the door every morning. It took a couple of days to get our bearings. The road to the left leads to the beach, the road to the right to downtown The location is quiet but the howler monkeys do come to eat the mangoes in front of the hotel. They are noisy but cool to hear and watch. The pool is never busy and the breakfast is cooked to your liking. We need gluten free and there are many many options downtown Check out the sunsets and fire dancers on the beach The only thing that I could say would improve the stay would be to have a microwave and iron/ironing board for use at the pool bar. Also be careful that yiu don’t bang your head in the tv as it is mounted on a post in the middle of the room. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!!!

Pretty boutique hotel that was a perfect resting spot after enjoying the beach. Owners Steve and Martha made it truly feel like home. Steve, you mix great rum punch! After returning from dinners in town we enjoyed playing cards and having drinks sharing travel stories with other families by the pool. Downside is definitely the walk up the hill in the heat, but always landed directly in the pool and quickly forgotten. Definitely good to be out off the Main Street for getting a good night rest. Our 2 room suite had all we needed for family with three older teens - room 8 with pretty pool view. 4 beds in total. 2 separate quiet and well functioning AC units plus large ceiling fan. Breakfast in morning was lovely by the pool with great coffee. Thank you Steve and Martha for being perfect hosts!

We stayed at Tamarindo Village hotel for 2 nights in March 2022. This place is lovely, just up the hill from town, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. Run by a lovely family, Steve, Marta, and Trevor, they really do make you feel at home here. So friendly, relaxed and helpful. Their staff were also exceptional, very friendly and working hard all day to keep the hotel spotless. It's just a small place, so don't expect a luxury resort, but we loved it. Clean, comfortable room, excellent AC and good wifi, very spacious with everything you need. The honour bar was great—relaxed and there if you need it, and our kids just loved the pool, it was the perfect temperature for cooling off. Tamarindo is a bit too busy and touristy for our family's preference, and so we only stayed a short while, but the hotel was just lovely. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for only 2 nights, but out of our 5- hotel stay in 12 days in Costa Rica Tamarindo Village Hotel was our favorite. We also stayed at ten north and Arco Iris. Steve, Martha, and Trevor were like family members after only a 2-night stay. They had beer, water, Gatorade’s and other cold drinks all available on the honor system which was great after hours when we needed a drink. Pool was perfect size and had comfortable seating. I can’t recommend this place enough!
