Travelodge Caterham Whyteleafe

Breakfast was good, Room spotless, staff especially Perleta.

Everything was awful. The kitchen was closed so nowhere nearby to have an evening meal or breakfast. The room was sweltering hot and even with the fan reception gave us, it was too uncomfortably hot to sleep The service was poor and asking for extra pillows was like pulling teeth. The reception staff seemed clueless and unable to understand the simplest of questions without repetition.

The staff and the service: totally incredible. The food was average at best, and there weren't many amenities, but it was located very close to 2 train lines which was extremely convenient. If you aren't planning to spend much time in your room, it's a great staging area for heading into London, going to and from the airport, or getting anywhere you need to. Priced right, especially for what you're getting. I would recommend it to friends and I would stay there again myself.

I have never been so annoyed with a company. Travel Lodge is the worst firm for service I have ever experienced. We were attending a wedding on Saturday 21st May and booked and paid for a room on 26th January ( 4 months in advance) , Arrived at 2pm to check in and get changed ready for the wedding, only to be told the room wasn't ready,we didn't make a fuss as some friends had a room and allowed us to use it. When we returned at 1.30am after having a wonderful time at the wedding we were told they didn't have a room, we explained what had happened earlier and the person at reception kept repeating the hotel was full, and the only help he could give was to call another Travel Lodge to see if they had any rooms available, after about 30 minutes he got us a room in a hotel 20 minutes away, by now it is well passed 2am. The next discussion was getting from one hotel to the other, I really think he thought we were going to either jump into the car or were going to order a cab, we insisted he sorted a cab out and book a return cab the following morning so we could collect our car ( parked in the car park) We arrived at the replacement hotel around 2.30am, after a few hours sleep we went to reception to in sure the return cab was still arriving at 9.15am, but there was no one to ask, fortunately a member of staff walk passed who made some calls and advised that no cab had been booked, after some time a cab was booked and we eventually returned to the originally hotel to collect our car This should have been a memorable event ( the Wedding) but turned into a nightmare caused by Travel Lodge We will NEVER be using Travel Lodge again

Always stay at this travelodge when I'm in this part of the world. Rooms are always clean and the staff are brilliant - especially Jess whose customer service is outstanding..From the cleaning staff to the staff on reception nothing is too much trouble.

We stayed for one night (Saturday night). The staff were friendly and it was very clean and quiet. We did have to pay for parking, but it was less than a fiver for the night. We got a drink and snacks at the bar which we took to our room. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast as we were going out for lunch the next day. However it offered a lot of choice for a great price and is something we would consider in the future.

The food here is excellent and varied, with very good flavor and we really liked Pearl's kindness. My children were satisfied and liked the taste of the food and even more so that it was hot.I 100% recommend visiting and enjoying these breakfasts with your family, a nice place to eat.

This is our first time here, and although basic it has everything we needed. A nice spacious room, large bathroom and powerful shower. A good cafe for breakfast and evening meals, bar, TV. Lovely friendly staff and excellent service. I was the only one in for dinner but no drop in service. You pay to park but there are plenty of spaces.

Usual Travelodge comforts Room was great I kind of think you know what to expect with travelodge. FOOD?? Meal deal £14 whilst the poster doesnt say exclusions the menu does be aware waited an eternity for dessert had to go remind them I was still here. other than that parking reasonable value other that that overall good stay.
