Hotel Villa Carlotta

When you come to a new place without much research done in advance, you need someone to give you practical and useful information. This is the hotel where staff are so friendly and professional. They gave you the best and most practical advice to visit some of the tourist attractions and restaurants. Appreciate their excellent recommendations. Hotel itself is good with great attention in small details. Free minibar, small snacks, fine quality of toilet amenities. It isn’t a big name but a big surprise to us. Love their staff. All make you feel very welcoming and homey. Stunning sea view and very convenient location. I simply park the car outside the hotel and use their valet parking service at 25 Euro a day. What else can I ask for? Would recommend it to anyone who would like to spend a relaxing holiday in Taormina.

I stayed at Villa Carlotta for 4 nights at the end of September, the hotel was fully booked but I got the last Junior suite available. If anyone is coming from Catania , the bus is actually the most affordable way, only 5 euros and conveniently there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, literally! Also the airport bus goes direct, so do that if you want to save 100 euros in cab fare 😊. The moment I arrived for checkout Aji greeted me and checked me in swiftly , took my bags and offered me a nice welcoming drink at their rooftop restaurant. Aji was an amazing staff member, he looked after me and gave me so much useful advice, booked all my restaurants & beach access (highly recommend visiting the Belmond Santandrea beach if you can it is well worth it), and overall one of the nicest person you would come across, can’t say enough good things about him! Also the young lady on the front desk was a delight to speak to, she managed the social media and was such a kind person, always taking time to chat with me and keep me informed, a real pleasure to interact with! Now for the actual room, it was spacious with spectacular views over the sea and it even had two balconies, it got the most beautiful sunrise views I have seen in quite some time (attached in the pics to this review). The room was large with a nice long sofa looking out onto the sea and it had a classic modern feel, with a comfortable well equipped bathroom, and I had a great peaceful sleep there. For me the best part of the hotel was the roof top bar and restaurant , it was stunning, very chic and the views are unparalleled, I don’t think it can get much better. The breakfast was so delicious there every morning and never felt crowded , the mini cannoli’s are to die for! The service staff there were so friendly and warm, smiling always and genuinely happy to help you, you could see they loved working there, which is rare! The property had lovely gardens with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and a pool which was refreshing but I didn’t use it much as I was out and about most of the time. The proximity to the main town center is great, just 10 mins walk to the hotel which keeps things quiet, yet very accessible. If you are looking for a top notch boutique hotel experience with impeccable service then I would highly recommend staying here, can’t wait to come back!

Small luxury hotel. Super friendly staff. Always helpful. Nice rooms with gorgeous view's. Very clean. Amazing breakfast. Best service ever at the pool and pool bar thanks to Maicon. Not far from the city center. Thy make your stay unforgettable.

It was a lovely comfortable hotel and amazingly helpful and attentive staff. Especially the reception team. A nice but quite long walk up into town along a narrow one-way road. Beautiful view from the room and the restaurant on the top floor. The food was very good. We would return if and when we return to Taormina.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our mini suite was charming and had all we needed including a very pleasant terrace that overlooked the pretty gardens. The main part of the hotel is old but extremely stylish and quite quirky, with wallpaper featuring lemurs and exotic animals! The rooftop restaurant was lovely with a botanical feel. Breakfast was first class with lots of choice of fresh, local products. And dinner was just as good. Special thanks must go to all the staff who were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Stephano on reception was especially helpful with guidance and local knowledge.

We just returned from a trip to Villa Carlotta which was fabulous. A beautiful hotel tastefully decorated in a great position. We stayed in a Tower Sute which was on two levels and highly luxurious. 5 minutes from the center of town it was ideally located to be well away from the hustle and bustle of Taormina. All the staff were incredible, helpful and professional whether it was on the front desk r Luigi and the gang up in the restaurant. The food was outstanding either for breakfast or dinner and the view from the rooftop spectacular. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The suites, restaurant, and staff are exceptional. The welcome from the reception crew was genuine and they exceed our every wish. The restaurant staff is attentive, the food expertly prepared, and the view is breathtaking. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed drinks in the bar on the roof of the hotel. Francesco was our bartender and made the most delicious drinks. The view from the roof was very nice, and all stoff was very friendly. When we go back to our hotel, the reception desk helped us with booking a taxi. Overall a great experience.
