This hotel was elevated but a lift was provided for access. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean with a daily change of towels and bed linen. Although we were situated at the side of the hotel, the view from the window was marvellous. Breakfast choices were repeated on a daily basis, staff were very pleasant. Dinner menus were varied with some delicious pasta dishes and sweets but vegetable choices were not to our taste (served cold with main course). The waiter at dinner was a very friendly young man. He worked alone and should be congratulated for the speed at which he served everyone. Top marks to him. The reception staff were very efficient and helpful, especially with our efforts to speak Italian. There is a small beach below the main road and several small supermarkets. Good if you enjoy walking and don't mind the hills.

Please do not go unless you value incredible views and fantastic customer service. Yes, the rooms are tired , outdated, shower is ridiculously small, pillows are lumpy,however, what more than makes up for that is first class customer service, views and yes views again. Cleanliness,really good. Pool area, well again probably due an update but again fantastic views. Thank you everyone who made my holiday so fabulous. I have been to Sicily a few times before, and especially loved it this time due to the unique setting. Unless I wanted to explore the east side of Sicily on my next visit I would definitely book this hotel again. Solo travelling and not put out the back, single room with balcony and sea views

We loved the location of the hotel. We stayed 4 days and used it as our home as we e plowed the area. We did a city tour, a day of sailing and wine tasting at Barone di Villa Grande. It was raining one day so did not take in Mt Etnea. I definitely have to give a shout out to the concierge Sarah. She is FANTASTIC. She provided a wealth of information and booked events. It was my husbands birthday and she arranged a great surprise for him. the hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly; however, she made our experience over the top. Honestly: this is not a hotel, it’s not a resort, and it’s certainly not a five star experience by any stretch. This is an elevated motel on the beach that is the closest you can get to Isola Bella. We chose this location because we wanted a relaxing beach vacation in Sicily and we had seen that some of the scenes from White Lotus season 2 were filmed there. We originally booked a refundable rate for 7 nights. The week before we were scheduled to arrive, something came up and we needed to shorten our stay in Taormina. When I called to inform the hotel, the first thing I was told by the concierge on the phone was that we still needed to pay the full amount because we booked a non refundable rate. She had not even checked my reservation. I politely advised her to check her records because in fact we had booked a refundable rate. Only when she actually checked the records (that I provided via email) did she concede that we have a refundable rate. I asked her to send me an updated email confirmation with the new information for just the three nights. She assured me she would send it. It took me three or four phone calls to her in the span of two hours (with a 6 hour time difference, mind you) requesting an email with written confirmation of the new rate. Only when I put the pressure on her and asked to either put her manager on the phone or send it while I was on the phone, did she promise me I would have it within the hour. I gave her one last chance - and only then she did deliver. I should not have had to press this hard for a simple email confirmation, but I already felt I could not trust the hotel because of her not being thorough during our first telephone interaction. This is why I pushed very hard to make sure we were covered, in writing. We arrived at the property and upon check in were given a property tour by the concierge. We booked a double room with patio (not a bungalow, because we had read mixed reviews about the bungalows). When we approached the bungalow section of the property, the concierge noted that we were now in the area where the most important and most VIP guests stay. WHO SAYS THIS TO A GUEST NOT STAYING IN THAT AREA?! It made me feel horrible….as if because we didn’t book a bungalow, we did not matter. It truly hurt me. I didn’t address it in the moment, I was so shocked that I played nice about it, but inside I was very hurt, and was very upset privately later on. When we were allowed in our room we noticed there was no floor length mirror…. I had to ask for one, and they brought one quickly but it had shattered glass in one corner of the mirror. We had a hot tub on our patio; looked like someone serviced the equipment and left the top it uncovered so when we arrived we were treated to a less than glorious sight (see photo). The “walls” of our patio were large sheets of canvas - so you could hear everything that was said/happening on the patio next to yours. They didn’t even size the tar

Taormina is a real Sicilian gem overlooking the breath-taking coast line and the magnificent volcano Etna. Like every touristic top destinations also in Taormina the amount of hotels and B&B it’s simply impressive and the quality of the service is not always comparable to the hotel rates. I found this hotel a great compromise between reasonable price, nice bedrooms, great location and stunning view. What makes a difference in my opinion tho is the front desk staff together with their colleagues of the breakfast team and all the other friendly and serious pro I met during my stay in this hotel. As a skilled traveller and tour operator with thousands night spent in hotels in the last 25 years I’d say that there are few minor details I’d change or fine tune to be a full 4 stars but a big shoutout to Annalisa, Giovanni, Nicoletta and all the other top staff members - sorry guys I don’t remember all the names but you were all at the top. I found Annalisa and the colleagues very professional, kind, ready to give the right suggestions, expert and always friendly. As a former hotel manager I would have been very happy to work with them, you all really made a difference See you soon. Grazie 🙏🏼

Stanza di dimensioni modeste ma pulita e confortevole. La parte più bella è stata il fantastico terrazzino esterno con affaccio sul mare (non tutte le stanze lo hanno, Booking permette di selezionarlo al momento della prenotazione e il prezzo varia di conseguenza ). Staff gentile, buona la pizza mangiata al loro ristorante. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, assolutamente consigliato!

++ This hotel was an amazing surprise in Taormina. We had to reschedule our stay because of the closure of the airport and they were very helpfull and responsive. The hotel is somewhere between a large and a boutique hotel. It is full of surprises, each corner and floor being different, and exquisitely decorated. The breakfast was very good and diverse. The staff was helpfull and nice. The centre is a short walk away. Our room had breath-taking views over the swimming pool and the Messina Strait. A long walk with stairs to our room, but we had no problems with that, in fact walking through the gardens and corridors is in itself a nice experience. We definitely recommend. - - The only negative points are the opening hours of the swimming pool (our son stood there with his buoy and swimming gear, when the sun was already quite high, waiting for the fence to open). It should open much earlier. The other quite negative experience was the dent the staff made in our newly rented car and which the management refused to accept. The parking lot is very very small and tight and you need to be an experienced driver to fit your car in one of the available spots. We had to hand the keys of our car and someone of the staff moved it overnight. The next day we discovered a dent that perfectly matched the colour and height of a vase in one of the bends. There is no question it was made in the hotel as it was the first stop after picking the car in the airport (were we supervised it) and when I arrived I parked it in a wide place that didn't requite any special manouvre. We only made a comment and didn't even asked for financial compensation as it was fully insured... Just be careful if you bring your own car or if you don't have an insurance!
