During my stay at Hotel Nava in Tawangmangu, I found it to be a refreshing exception in an area where many hotels might feel a little outdated. Here’s a detailed look at my experience: Positives Modern and Proper The hotel maintains a contemporary feel and ensures that it doesn’t fall into the ‘outdated’ category, which is a common issue in the region. The facilities and the decor are well-maintained, providing a pleasant environment for guests. Diverse and Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast at Hotel Nava is a highlight, featuring a wide variety of delicious foods. Whether you’re into local or international cuisine, the breakfast caters to different tastes and is a delightful way to start the day. Convenient Parking Options: The hotel offers convenient parking options, including spots in front of the hotel and areas close to the rooms that are especially convenient for guests staying on the second floor. This thoughtful arrangement adds a layer of convenience for guests, particularly those with a lot of luggage or those who prefer easy access to their vehicles. Negatives: Musty Room Odor: One downside was the musty smell in the room, which could be attributed to poor drainage or perhaps the room being unoccupied for a prolonged period without proper ventilation. This issue could detract from the comfort of the stay and might need immediate attention. Breakfast Management: Despite the quality of the breakfast food, the management and communication regarding breakfast arrangements could use improvement. Guests were not well-informed the day before about the breakfast setup, especially when accommodating large groups. On days when the hotel is fully booked or hosting groups, the restaurant either closes down or guests are asked to wait or opt for takeaway. Ideally, guests should be informed in advance to select breakfast timings, with separate arrangements made for groups to avoid overcrowding and ensure everyone enjoys their breakfast comfortably.

Food is tasty and food price on coffee shop is acceptable still range ok. Relax staycation on outdoor area at gazebo

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Spectacular view when you wake up in the morning. Breakfast spread was great for both days. There is a small playground beside their cafe that my kids could play as well. Service was awesome. Will come again if I visit Solo again.

The hotel location is close to the Grojogan Sewu waterfall, about 10 minutes walk. Good service, extraordinary view

Review fr Nava Hotel 5 star. " we booked via Agoda a good month before because it had such a nice view atop the hill. Unfortunately we got the carpark facing view(all three of us)...as the reception said they were full. We asked to speak to duty manager Kiki and expressed our disappointment (after a flight to Jogya and a 3 hour drive to Tawangmangu only to see a carpark from our rooms). She dug in, checked n rechecked and turned it around for us - 3 mountain view rooms the next day.! This hotel does not feel like a 3 star. That Courtyard and infinity pool overlooking the mountain was stunning and it had lotsa little hangout spots just to chill. Staff are very courteous and helpful. If you need to escape from the rigours of town life..hide here.
