AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is not a hotel, this is a 1-star hostel at hotel prices. Two critical points: 1.) The hotel had a full on cockroach infestation. Our room was crawling in cockroaches (pictures included) 2.) Given the cockroaches, we asked for a refund on 1/3 nights. The host confirmed he would refund, but never did…. Because credit cards are charged in advance, you have no recourse. See other comments of people with similar feedback below Otherwise, some points of interest: - the entire hotel is filthy. Covered in dust, no upkeep in the lobby - there is no customer support or person to deal with routine questions (see other comments on this) - all rooms are within a narrow courtyard so noise pollution is inevitable - standard services like wifi, smart-tvs not functional - Air conditioners are undersized relative to the rooms, so they’ll be 25+ degrees Overall, this is a cockroach infested hotel that is falsely advertised online, where the managers are comfortable stealing from customers. The Hotel is a 470 year castel build by the Ottomans while ruling the land. The character of the ancient castel is intact in every corner . The design and the renovation is impressive . The suites are very large and comfortables. Due to the place limitation some of the details could improve yet the atmosphere is so nice that this could be overlooked . The owner of the place personally greeted us and gave us superb service . The roof terrace is amazing over looking the Sea of Galilee beauty and the Golan mountains in the backround . To sit on the terrace for a glass of wine to see the sunset is a spectacle experience . Breakfast was served also on the top floor terrace and it was well prepared with variety of items to satisfy any taste . The bed was very comfortable and very important is that every suite was with air conditioning which is so necessary in Israel in the summer time. All and all a great place to enjoy Tiberius and the area for few days .
