Location is excellent. It’s next to Tokyo Dome. Good location if you have booked events like baseball or wrestling to watch. There are breakfast and food options nearby like Sizzler, Starbucks and Mcdonalds. Breakfast and food in hotel is a bit expensive. It’s also within 5 to 10 mins walk to Korakuen and Suidobashi JR stations. The only weakness is that the gym is not free. You need to stay in the executive rooms to be free. Otherwise you need to pay about 1600 yen for it. Service is also good. Overall it’s a nice hotel with good service that I don’t mind staying again.

This is the most spectacular hotel we have ever stayed in. My husband and I just spent three weeks in Japan for our honeymoon, and we spent our first two nights in Japan at the wonderful Hoshinoya in Tokyo. It was an experience that was unmatched in the rest of Japan! The amount of thoughtfulness and care that goes into every detail is astounding. The rooms are VERY comfortable and gorgeous, and I really enjoyed the shared communal space on our floor to make coffee and get a treat or snack. The onsen is OUT OF THIS WORLD ridiculous, with an open air skylight. AND, the food is delicious and made with all of the detail and flavor you would expect out of Japanese food. We got the Japanese breakfast in our room both days, and splurged on dinner at the restaurant hotel, which was one of the best meals we have ever had. 15/10 recommend this hotel if you can afford it - we would have happily stayed here for our entire trip!

文華酒店的大門是非常隱蔽難找的，空調哪怕風開到最小也有嗡嗡聲，洗手間沒有任何 遮擋，衹能站在浴缸裏面沖涼，水會噴到浴缸外麪，馬桶是沒有蓋子的，刷牙洗臉的人是可以看到坐在馬桶上的人。早餐的時候哪怕有很多空位，也要耐心等待服務員，慢慢地安排，動作太慢。優點：西餅食物不錯，房間乾淨，景色優美，總的來說不值。早上6-9:00的37樓spa是免費的，酒店附近的街道櫻花爛漫非常美麗。，附近的三越和其他商場逛起來也很方便。早餐選擇沒有想象中的那麼豐富，不過也夠了。

It’s just wonderful to stay in ascott. It is just opposite to otemachi station (find exit C9). Best of all, it has a 24 hour gym, suitable for gym goers / and more importantly business travel. The room is bigger than most ordinary rooms in Tokyo, with art of state facilities. The staff here are attention, and helpful. Do consider if you have the extra budget 😊

Newly renovated hotel, with separate bath and toilet for the twin room. Mood lights at bed top, not much space for movement but good enough for typical business hotel. Breakfast was pretty good too! Location very near Ueno Hirokoji train station, which is just one stop away from Ueno station. This station is important for me as I travel north with Shinkansen to Omiya in Saitama. Ueno also has Sakura festival during season.

Located very close to Okachimachi station. There are plenty of restaurants and other stores around the area. There is a small cafe on the first floor and you can use microwave placed there. The room was clean but a bit old and walls were thin. I could hear the noise of the other guests.They provide basic amenities. The wifi was working fine. Would be the best place if you are a budget traveler and want to explore around Ueno.

Ogni volta che vado a Tokyo, pernotto in questo hotel. Quest'anno altre due notti. Nonostante la struttura sia un po' vecchia, il soggiorno è sempre piacevole. Camere non grandi ma neanche piccolissime, e con tutto quanto serve (servizi, frigorifero, televisione, aria condizionata e anche nelle stanze più piccole, divano e tavolino per consumare un pasto in camera). Da segnalare i bagni pubblici al sesto piano e la colazione gratuita con un vasto assortimento. Se si vuole stare lontano dalle zone più congestionate ma vicino a servizi (trasporti, ristorazione, parco), consiglio. Da Narita sono circa 50 minuti con la linea Keisei.

Disebabkan nak fly balik Tokyo, aku pilih hotel ni untuk dua malam. Perkhidmatan ini tiada apa-apa untuk dikatakan, sangat kos efektif. Ia juga sangat bersih. Saya akan memilih hotel ini apabila saya pergi ke Tokyo pada masa akan datang. Tapi yang tak puas hati, bantal tu keras sikit hahahaha. Situated at a very convenient location (near Ueno station). Room is also spacious for Japan’s standard and clean. Check in and check out process was very fast as it is conducted via the use of machines. We were very lucky to be able to immediately checked into our room prior to the usual check in time as the room was ready. We were very glad about it! Service was quick as well when we requested for additional pillows. The pillows and bed were very comfortable! Will definitely return!

Our family of 4 stayed at this hotel, during a four day, stopover in Tokyo, after skiing in Japan. We decided to splurge and book the ninja themed room-which offered more beds than we needed, but a separate bedroom for the children, and two bathrooms which is Quite a luxury in Tokyo. The beds & pillows were really comfortable & although we had a large dining table - it was a bit odd to not have a lounge to relax on. The hotel was conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from the Ueno-Hirokoji (Ginza Metro line) station - which provides access to Asakusa Station in the north-which is a lovely historic area with a temple, good restaurants and sky tree tower. The other end of the Ginza line includes Shibuya-home to the famous Shibuya Crossing and other good restaurants and shops, etc. the trendy and lux suburb of Ginza is also on this line. Also, very close to this hotel is a big department store – Parco and lots of ‘Lawson’ convenience stores to grab snacks etc. We dined at: - Warayakiya izakaya - which is just around the corner from the hotel. It’s a very authentic Japanese restaurant with good ambience, tasty food, friendly staff and traditional food (more suited to adults). We recommend the seared bonito (there speciality!) and the whiskey yuzu highball cocktail. -Pork cutlet Yamabe Okachimachi - which is a tiny authentic Japanese restaurant specialising in pork Tonkatsu. There are only 14 seats, so we recommend getting there early, although they seem to turnover pretty quickly. We literally sat at a counter overlooking the staff preparing meals, but it is tasty food and very reasonably priced. Note it’s cash only the dish we ordered was ¥1,250 each. Thank you to the front desk staff who were always helpful and very responsive via email or in person at reception.
