Hotel berhampiran Mariano Zamorano Swords, Toledo

A visit to Toledo should definitely be on your list of places to visit in Spain. The City of Three Cultures sits on a hill, surrounded on three sides by the River Tagus, attesting to the old adage that location is everything. The Roman historian, Livy (a.59 BCE-17CE) mentioned it as being a small city but fortified by location. The three cultures being of course, Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The evidence of these cultures are found all over the old city. Indeed, it is the influence of these cultures and the structures that they left behind, that were instrumental in Toledo being inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986. Today, it is a lively city, its streets and squares filled with residents mingling with tourists. We booked Hotel Medina de Toledo without really knowing how close it lay to the Historic Center of Toledo. We were pleased to see that it actually lies within the walls in the outer perimeter. You are just ca. 100 meters from the Aparcamiento Miradero (Parking), from which there is an escalator that leads you right up to the actual town. The hotel website states that you are a four minute walk from the Puerta del Sol City Gate and Plaza de Zocodover. A five minute walk from Puerta Bisagra Gate, seven minutes from the Alcazar and ten minutes from Toledo Cathedral. Tops on location. This small hotel has 18 rooms arranged on three floors. Because the hotel is located on an incline, the lobby is located on the top floor, but is on street level. The hotel staff are very friendly, in fact we greeted by the owner of the facility and were treated very well. The hotel advertises that multi languages are spoken, Spanish, Portuguese, English, French and Italian. As the hotel basically sits into the hill, the rooms face out to the back and have a great view of the lower city, in what I think is a north direction. The rooms are clean and comfortable, air-conditioned, there is also free wifi. Non-smoking rooms are available. Breakfast, available for a nominal fees, is delicious and can be eaten out on a lovely, scenic terrace. There is also free parking available on the street and if you are lucky, right out in front of the lobby. We can easily recommend staying at the Hotel Medina de Toledo and if we are back in the area, will do so again. PS. We would like to pass along the recommendation of El Trebol Tapas Bar as a good place to eat. Also, don't forget to buy some Marzipan, as Toledo is well known for this treat.

Great Hotel in the city centre. Top location. Spacious rooms with great beds. Nice staff. Mini Bar. The free walking tour in. English starts in the front of the hotel. The sightseeing busses ar with 50 metres. Ideal for a two or three days stay in the old city of Toledo

Hotel muito bem localizado permitindo os passeios a pé. O quarto era limpo e a cama muito confortável. É um hotel simples mas que oferece tudo o que você precisa para uma estadia curta em Toledo. O café da manhã é simples e sem grande variedade. Senti falta de ovos já que o café consiste basicamente de pão, croissant e frutas; mas o café oferecido pelo hotel é rápido, o que lhe permite sair para passear logo cedo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pintor El Greco hotel in Toledo! Great location within easy walking distance of all the historical places and stunning sights around the city. We stayed in the heritage section of the property with original beamed ceilings and features. Nice modern upgrades to the spacious room - comfortable bed. We only stayed one night and did not get the chance to enjoy the restaurants onsite - but did go up to the rooftop balcony for the night sky and city views - spectacular! We met the Hotel Manager Cristina Hernandez Gines at check out and enjoyed a lovely conversation about our family in Salamanca and Alicante. We would definitely return again to explore more of Toledo and would stay here for sure! Heather and Emile Fuchs

The on site parking ($10) secured was a huge bonus (don't try to take a large car down there). The hotel is close to the old town (which is up a big hill) but there are two different sets of escalators going up. Very odd to see like 10 different moving stairs to get you up a hill.. these were well used by the locals certainly. Room was nice, clean and modern, close to the town but not ”in it” meaning no tight streets to squeeze down. I found this refreshing - after a week of driving ”too small” roads to hit the circle off the highway turn right and park ... ride the escalator and you re where you want to be. All in all a pleasant experience and I would def stay here again if in Toledo.

This hotel is simple, Yet very nice. I got a fantastic room on the Fist floor with balcony and table with chairs. Is not in the city, but you can go by bus or take a taxi. You get great views of Toledo all along the road Circunvalacion. The manager is very nice man. The front desk people I dealt with they were not too nice, that's ok. If you traveling with car you can park in front of the hotel. This hotel has been The ”Best” hotel i had stayed in recent years, clean, great price and kept in very good condition. I would not hesitate to go stay there again, if I am in Toledo.

Pues le robaron el bolso a mi mujer en un salón privado en la 2° planta y con un camarero controlando el acceso al bufet, el ladrón o ladrones paso por recepción fue al salón del bufet estuvo hablando con el camarero q controlaba el acceso (porque yo lo vi y el me lo confirmo) y sin embargo no se porque razón le dejaron permanecer el el salón (a mi me preguntaron por la habitación para pasar) y en un despiste nos robaron el bolso. Creo q habría q ser muchísimo más cuidadoso con el acceso, ya veremos como termina esto Entre los 3000€ q sacaron de la tarjeta y los más de 1000€ de perdidas por efectivo, movil, gafas, llaves coches, etc, la estancia me salió por un pico. OJO NO DEJEIS NADA DESATENDIDO En principio el hotel rechaza cualquier responsabilidad y me dicen q no tienen seguro para responder del robo, ya veremos si la consejería de sanidad puede mediar en el asunto.

We had booked two nights at the hotel but really considered checking out after the first nigh as a car is required to visit the city and the restaurant was closed. I showed the receptionist their web page and it said that the restaurant was open. A few hours later we were told that a meal would be coked for us and could we choose what we wanted. It appeared that one chef was ill and the other chef came in and cooked just for us, this was a piece of great customer service which we appreciated. I believe that due to covid the hotel was not getting many guests and therefore revenue was down, this also showed in the garden not been kept tidy, although the pool was in good repair. The room required a little tender loving but had a fridge and AC but no safe. The public areas in the hotel were clean and tidy. The panoramic view of the city was spectacular. I feel for the hotel owners as with reduced revenue they did not have enough money to spend on the outside areas, but I think that as the number of guest increase the hotel will shine once again.

Hotel tranquilo junto al campo de golf, con mucho sitio para aparcar. La habitación simplemente correcta, con amplio baño en el que, en nuestro caso, se echa de menos una encimera donde poder poner las cosas de aseo y quizá también una mampara que cubra el largo de la bañera. Tiene armario espacioso, minibar y dos botellas de agua de cortesía. Al no tener desayuno incluido se podía optar por bufé a 13€ o continental a 8€. Personal amable, en especial la recepcionista que, al comentar que encontramos una chocolatina empezada en el minibar, nos obsequió con una bandeja de frutas a modo de disculpa. Al estar en una zona sin otros servicios, quizá se podría ampliar el horario de bar, ya que cerraba a las 23h.
